I will only get the sand from the desert from now on. And if some one complains, i don't care.
If its that much trouble for every one that some one likes to gather than build first, i will not be sharing anything from now on.
Who ever needs something will have to ask first, taking with out asking is prohibited.

New World is pretty awesome! Lacks trees though (forest).
Made my home on top of a mountain. Currently collecting wood and stone.
And that river is damn cool!

OK, sounds cool.
I made an small sand farm near spawn, it houses 6x8 fields. Currently growing sugar canes.

Also will occasionally drop items and materials into Stojke-Sama supply chest. Its inside the poor mans shelter at spawn.

I tried 10 and higher, waiting for it to load the chunks is annoying as hell.
I see trough terrain and mountains. So i reduced it to 8.

Also its on hard?!? What the hell? I saw like 1 skeleton and like 3 zombies 3 hours in the game, and i was on level Y 7 in complete darkness for quite some time.

You need an specific render mode to use it.

Glow or Pure Color.

With old ZHLT i remember you could make an func_wall or func_illusionary with AAATrigger texture and give it:

Render Mode: Pure Color
FX Color: R G B

And the entity will glow (as in display, it will not emit light) in that color. Also you can apply FX Amount (how visible) and Render FX (Display effect).

I have tried the same thing with VHLT but it didnt work.

I never had the problems he has. Must be something else thats causing the error.

Some of my maps had distance 32 units from each others and these errors did not occur.
This happens to him from MAP #1 he made.

Well, i think having an void barrier is actually an great idea.
Because the overall world shouldn't be too large.

Thats why i said at least 4x TWHL world (which was 2000 meters i think).

Please announce at least 3 days before switching to 1.7 survival.

I want to play from beginning.

Also, you should make it hard difficulty and much bigger land than it was, at least 4x bigger. Infinite isn't such a great idea. But variation and space is a pretty cool idea.

Sphere isn't that hard at all, just create 1/8th and copy it all over.
But the plus here is is that he doesn't have to use external resources. The only minus is, is that there may be texture bugs.

I can pretty much eat anything in the morning. I don't drink coffee, i wake up instantly, i always sleep ~8 hours, i don't even need to set my clock up.

Never complicate terrain. The simple it is the better.
Use sprites and models to achieve detail, as well as decals and transparent textures.

There is no need for fancy ultra hi res textures. Work with geometry not against it :)

I haven't seen a leak in my map in 5 years.
People you need to plan out before you map.

I always keep my geometry as simple as possible so i dont have much experience with this. But compile log and line methods always produced results.

You can always upload your RMF for some one to find it for you.

My portal is exactly on the same location on all axes in nether.

X and Z are 8x smaller in nether.

So 1600 / 800 is actually 200 / 100.

Probably gonna be some Linux port crap.
But than again, why have a shit load of operating systems when you can have just one for games? So thats a big plus.

Plus, there is like 10 000 games out there you can play, from 2D to 3D.

PC all the way.
As a 9 year old i used to play that shitty 25kB super mario with only 4 levels and enjoyed it every single time. A kid does not need more than 2 hours MAX on the PC every day.

As Volpe said, make an account that the kid will use on the PC and restrict internet access past Minecraft.

The texture is stretched 2x in my map. X 2.0 Y 2.0 / Alignment X 0.0 Y 0.0 .
And the two solids where it connects are both 512 high, 256 wide, different long value.

I am using normal Hammer 3.5 and VHLT 3.0 as well.

And if you take a look at the previous post where i posted images it is actually an OpenGL bug. Since in software render it does not occur. I will keep this map to test it on my Voodoo 5 5500 :)
- Will GLide perform better? Only tests will show!

They are flipped, but the line still occurs. As if the texture is stretched by -0.01 .

I just tried software mode, the line is indeed gone, but the lava looks funny xD

Also, i just now noticed that the lava texture keeps returning to stretch value 1.0 from 2.0 under OpenGL.

Yeah, i see the lines. Do you have a link to this topic?
And if its OpenGL calculations, than software/D3D mode should not have this bug? And what about GlIDE? :)

Yes, they are perfectly connected. Directly on center of grid map.
