I understand what you're talking about. Also the phase that takes the most time is the LeafThread phase rather than the VIS phase.

Edit: Thanks for your help, I'll keep that tip in mind. I'll see if my map loads quicker now.

Hopefully these screenshots will help, if you need more just let me know and I'll send some more. Also please mind the messy area at the stairs in the second pic, it's outside the player's view.

in Ambiguous leafnode content ( EMPTY and SOLID ) Error Post #346604
Hello! Usually when I get this error it doesn't affect my map but recently the compile time started to drastically change from about 30 minutes to several hours. I tried looking for answers online but only found vague answers related to vertex manipulation. When checking for errors on my map, it doesn't show anything. Does anyone know more information about this and how to solve this problem?
Hello, I'm trying to use Textures from Blue Shift in my map, I've imported the barney.wad file into J.A.C.K (tools > options > game profiles > textures) and it worked fine. However upon compiling and loading the map i get an error saying "Couldn't Find barney.wad" followed by the game closing. I tried looking for answers online but couldn't find a clear answer. If anyone knows more about this issue please let me know.
I didn't know that was a thing. I've added it and it works now, Thanks!
Hello, I got this weird error that I've never seen while compiling my map. I assume it's there because I (somehow) used a texture that I don't have (?). If that's the case, is there a way to find where the texture is placed? If anyone knows more about this, please let me know!

If it helps, I've linked the compile log here

in Env_beam sparks not appearing on func_train Post #346449
Hello, I'm having an issue in my map, I'm trying to make an effect where a spark moves across a wire. Everything works fine except that the spark is not showing up in game. The end entity of the env_beam is a func_train with an orgin brush that moves across a series of path_corners, the "EndSparks" flag is also checked but still nothing shows up.

Here's what it looks like in game

If anyone knows a solution, please let me know.
