Well, whatever the flag name is, start disabled or start asleep. What you don't want is the flag that makes it so that motion is disabled entirely (motion disabled, afaik.) There's only two flags that deal with the subject at hand anyway, I'm sure you'll figure it out if you haven't already.

You probably want 'start disabled' - that way it can move and gib. Motion disabled will prevent it from moving at all.

You don't need any C++ knowledge, but you do need to know how to write weapon script code and weapon QC code which is almost as bad. Presumably he only wants a visible change, not any changed code etcetera (the posts are a little hard to decipher and understand ;P)

Yeah, your paragraph tags are outside of a div container. You should place them inside something for a footer container or a header container, wherever they need to go, as long as they're in a div.

in iPod stuff is overpriced Post #214419
The color screens are useful on the new video iPods; I use mine to watch TV or other episodes of things on the way home from work since the bus is slow. Also, the advantage of a CD player is a decent one; you can carry more music for cheaper and have more flexibility (more music? burn/carry more CDs!)

You want Raw sound, as game sounds just categorizes event/specific game sounds (like NPC sounds, vehicle noises, and entity/vphys noises.)

On top of everything, Company of Heroes isn't mentioned anywhere, and that is un-forgivable.
Maybe because their LAN mode is fucked to all hell? Try playing LAN with more than one player. It lags to no end. It's a great game, though.

It is a funny typo, though. No big deal, Sajo, shit happens, and often times it's entertaining.

I got the parking meter sign many years ago - they were renovating downtown, they had a big dumpster full of parking meters, so we took a few. I use it as a coaster ;P - I've got a bunch of other signs suitable as such but they're a bit big.

The maglite is good for UrbEx and other situations that call for a lot of light, and the walkie-talkie is a fun toy (I've programmed it so I can listen to the local public safety frequencies).

A couple of pictures of where the work gets done now, as my last desk snapped in half. I try and keep it tidy to some extent, except for the big mess of cables I need to organize sometime. I also moved it near my bed a few months ago hoping to be able to work in bed but its a pain in the ass so it don't happen.

I'd guess the AI is too intensive for it to be applied to MP netcode well; therefore AI won't work in MP for things like zombies or other NPCs. I'd just stay away from NPC characters in Multiplayer maps.

Did you guys notice this is the Source subforum perchance?

Don't use Zoner's tools for Source - They don't work. I'd stick to the base Source tools - they're much more refined than their HL1 (Quake) counterparts and work just fine. ZHLT will produce bad BSPs for Source maps.

Start them as motion disabled with the flag on the extingusher, have an OnMotion output or the like turn on an env_steam entity parented to the fire extingusher. This will turn on the steam when the extingusher is shot (or moved)

26 degrees ain't bad. It was getting around 7 degrees here a couple of weeks ago and I still ventured outside for ciggy time. Differences in climate and whatnot, though; while it's cold, it's not awful for me. I know people from California who bundle up in coats when it's 60 degrees out while I'll happily wear shorts and a short sleeved shirt. Still, though, nice ;D

Jeez, way to bump an old post ;P

If you're in the buyzone you'll get the shopping cart icon on your HUD to let you know that you can buy things and that you are indeed in a buyzone. It won't actually support anything or anyone so you have to create it over walkable space that people can get to.

Depending on your hardware and shader versions, the water in Hammer may not show up. It will show up in game (also, /dev water textures should work fine, they're just like the regular ones in /nature.) Try compiling your map to see what happens rather than judging it in-editor, especially if you're on DX7 or 8 HW.
