What, you just want bloom and not HDR? You should just integrate HDR with an env_tonemap_controller, fire that with a logic_auto OnMapSpawn and have bloom on if the player wants it on.

Emulators are perfectly legal. ROM's aren't. Some sites claim that if you own the original game pak then it's fine to download the ROM. This is inaccurate.

Not that I give a crap of course. As for the GC, there is not one working ROM avaliable, apart from demos for the emulators that people have made. Heck, just buy the damn console, it's pretty cheap now.
Screw that, just save up for a Wii!

Forcing binds on players in general is a bad idea - If someone was using X for flashlight or communication commands and it suddenly turns into impulse they'll have to fix their key mapping instead.

Something this simple can be brushbased - If you're going to have a bunch of individual planks (100+) and ropes and detail and shit to that extent you need to use a model. Something like this is extremely low cost in brushes =/

Do you have a light_env or shadow_control? These would affect shadowing direction.

Just use disable shadows and brushes made out of blocklight textures if you have weird shadowing issues with props.

DXLevel should fix it - Perhaps its a driver issue. I had to revert to old drivers to play Swat 4 properly and the error went away for the most part in DXL 9 and is gone in DXL 8.

About the PHP thing - Usually Imageshack puts ads and shit at the top, it blocks a popup from there for me, and I have to scroll around and right-click view image to see the whole thing anyway. It's much more convenient.

You can pretty much redo the entire map as long as you have a train and a station and buildings and a tunnel and whatnot. To my knowledge, anyway...cause that's what I'm doing ;P

Where is the 'station' supposed to be?

Lookin good so far, though in shot 000001 there seems to be some strange fance to the right, not quite sure what it is therefore.

And what is the rock texture called and is it standard in HL2?
I haven't done the station yet ;P - This is the tunnel-bit.

Also these are pretty unfinished and just compiled to test the lighting so things like roofs are disappearing and sides of walls are going away etcetera D:

And dust rockwall is the clifftex but I think I told you that :D

I'm not sure what to do with the red lights. I like them there, and they give a nice feel, but they are much too ... bright perhaps?

There's an entity maker entity - I'd set the battery as the template then have it make batteries through the entity maker. I'm not sure if this is soley for NPCs or works for other entities as well though.

It's pretty bad parallax ;P - The effect is cool but that particular shot is bad. Note that parallax doesn't use UV space for pieces like extrusions (It's just a 2D surface) so the texture gets stretched a lot. You have to account for this parallax stretching on the texture itself. Also the bricks just seem to extrude outwards and bevel to fake perspective - They move out too far and they also bevel a fair deal to make them look like bits of a weird shaped egg carton as opposed to bricks or tiles on a wall.

But by that logic, people could steal textures from demo software and such because a demo is released for free and the whole world has access. If there's an agreement that you have to accept to view and utilize the content (no end-user license exists for NS, to my knowledge) then they can't sue. If you have to read and accept a complete license agreement then there's probably something in there about IP rights and content usage, and since you presumably accepted that contract to get the content, you could technically get sued. Very unlikely, however.

They just dont like people using their textures ;P - I find it kinda ironic as they use a bunch of shaderlab stuff and such.
