I was playing Half-Life, and I noteiced this while playing the level right after you get of the tram. Why is that box there?

Put it in Jpeg next time please, And i think it would be a place to put entitys like func_autos but I don't know why its lighted. Another reason it may be there it bacaue it might be used to teleort monsters in, When i was snooping around in op4 I saw one looked in side and found a zombie.

Or its where the train spawns so it has proper lighting when you see it.

Yup, that's exactly what it is. The only reason you're able to see it is 'cause you're noclipping/in the void. I decompiled to see how they started you in the train a while ago, and it's just that little room, with a bunch of point lights...

For the love of all that is evil, change that to a JPEG!!!!!!
