This is a 180 degree spiral pilar.

Its made with a 16*16*16* cube brush, devided into 6 triangles, using the CLIP tool. To show you how i made this, here's a video walkthrough:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1munizgwao

In addition, i've turned each brush of the pilar into a individual func_wall, (not seen in video) to prevent brush splitting.

LOL that is cool as fuck!

We all get a peak in to the mapping mind of Muzzie by watching the video!!

What did you use to record? How many takes? :P Very cool Method BTW, and thanks for the VIDEO!

^_^!!

It took me many many takes, with different settings, like full frames uncompressed avi, indeo video codec, WMP codec and all that stuff. And everytime the file size was over 4 gigs for just 2.30 minutes of recording! Its a pain in the butt to compress a file that big! So it took me many takes to get an acceptable filesize.

I used Camtasia Studio 3 for recording, and XVid for compression, id rather choose Divx, but that didn't work.

"isn't it funny how they are the same name backwards?": not really. It's just one of the variety of silly ways NIX-y folk name stuff.

XviD is better, anyway.
