You added the tube running under the top level. Why not make it have a small break in it and have regular turrets travelling through it? Trapt is right - the player should never be put in the position of having no way to progress.

More portal 2 goodness! I love that this game has re-ignited your mapping flair, Satchmo. I missed getting submissions to the mapvault from ya
Downloading...
Edit: Oh, okay. Slightly disappointed that there's no new puzzles here. You have, however refined the ones you already submitted and they work extremely well now.

It was Soup Miner, right? I had that exact same dream about him except instead of a train, we were riding unicorns, and I stole his cereal. Actually, come to think of it, it was a pretty different dream.
TWHL meet-ups have occurred. Tosse (remember him?) spent a week with Urby. Me and Livewire see each other a couple of times per year, and we spent the night at urby's once. Also when Daubster moved from Lithuania to Scotland for uni, he was just in time to experience proper Scottish drinking at my 18th.
Always in the UK, though. Never heard about a meet-up elsewhere, which seems odd since there are several members from close-by states to each other in the US, and several from Aussieland.

Good gravy, Soup Miner. You appear to have obtained some sort of mystic power (possibly from a rune stone you licked) which lets you control the actions of others!

God damn, Satchmo. That took me aaaages. It only took me a few minutes to try to use the turrets once I figured it out, but just noticing that one of the lasers powered the imancipation grille took me so, so long. I feel very stupid.
Recorded a playthrough while I was playing it, though, so you'll get to laugh at my idiocy
Editing now. (Yes, editing. It took that long!)

Ah cool, I probably would have understood this a lot more if I'd played the original. I didn't know about mannequins or care packages.
Great to see you so enthusiastic
Edit: Oh, forgot to say - I think you should get rid of the bus or find a better one. It's not a great model, and the texture on it is really, really low res and ugly. Also the collision model is non-existant.

D: did you map the whole thing at gridsize 2 or something? Damn that's a messy Hammer screenie. Downloading.
OK, this map was very odd. I really like that you've tried to make it more interactive, but why do ammo crates give you control of jets/dogs/mounted guns? Why are there hostages who only animate if you shoot them? It also must have taken quite a long time to VIS compile judging from a quick mat_wireframe examination. Loads and loads of cut up brushwork. You can also see the dogs playing their running animation before they're triggered. Just running on the spot forever. Texturing is very bland, there is light inside the houses with no source and the houses themselves are almost empty on the inside.
It's absolutely not a bad start, but there is loads still to do on this. Won't rate 'til it's finished.

I really enjoyed this, actually It's very short, but it's a nifty little puzzle. I never played earlier versions, but this one was certainly very intuitive, without treating the player like a complete idiot.

Really like the case, pengy. Glad to see another person who favours design and purpose over flamboyancy. Full towers are awesome - so much room, so many cooling options.

Truly sorry for giving this such a harsh review. It's actually quite a lovely little map, but quite simply something of this scale is not MotM-worthy. Sorry!

Going to write notes as I watch this
I don't know what you shot this on, but if it has manual settings, use them! The auto-exposure in this was making me cringe as it tried to keep up with the constantly changing lighting.
Very shaky - use a tripod or build a fig rig out of PVC pipe.
Lots of jump-cuts at the start with no continuity of movement.
I can barely hear what they're saying. The on-board audio is very poor.
Stop touching the zoom control! It makes the shots look unplanned and the motor controlling it is loud enough for the camera to pick it up, making the audio worse.
Haha, I like the dream sequence where he's in every seat.
Never use Bird is the Word.
Sorry to be critical, but I can't help it anymore because of college. Seriously, I can't even watch TV shows without going "oh ffs, continuity!"

You'll love college, when you don't need an excuse like "exams over" to go out for a night oot. Hell, lunchtime is a good enough excuse to have a couple pints.
Archie Sneaky McArchie.
1) Sweet-talk a member of security. Batter your eyelashes and show a bit of cleavage. They tend to turn a blind eye.
2) Be let in through a toilet window by a member of the band (usually the drummer.)
I suspect 2 was used in this case.

I actually found my genuine doppelgänger last year, but I lost the picture when I got my new PC and I can't find it now.
...And then take him to Satchmo for some healing after you break his legs.

Also img tags work in journal comments, but simg tags don't? Surely it should be the other way round...
