Sorry for your loss, bro. I've loved every dog I've had, there's just something about the bond between man and dog that's tough to explain. He looks like he was a real good dog.

Still haven't played Italy. I played maybe five more rounds but was at the mercy of the server's map rotation.
I guess the map list makes sense if they were catering to the competitive scene, but that seems risky because it's unlikely the competitive scene would take a liking to a new CS, especially considering how they reacted to CS:S.

True. And it didn't get Militia until even later. I guess we'll get them in a few years at the most? I hope it's not that long. Hopefully they'll being releasing new maps one at a time relatively soon.
If I could pick any one word to describe CS:GO map list it would be either "Standard" or "Safe". I'm torn between the two.
"Predictable" would fit, and even "Boring" although I'd feel bad using that word to describe anything the Turtle Rock guys did. Maybe I'm biased.

I love assualt. It was so much fun, it showed that maps can be advantageous for one team and still be fair because teams switch sides at halftime during competition. Whichever team performs better when the odds are stacked against them would usually come out on top. I find it much more fun than a map that doesn't give either T or CT an advantage, it's all about doing better than them when it's their turn to have that disadvantage. It's just my tastes but I find it very fun.

This is fun! Is it just me or does the glock suck slightly less? I've only played one of the maps so far by my initial impression was that this is better than source.
I wish Office was just a bit brighter like the old one though.

Installing it now, kept forgetting to go buy a Steam card after work lol. It's going to be fun to have a fresh CS experience for a while. I'm pretty excited.

Did you buy a copy of the OS, or did you buy a computer with the OS already installed? If the latter is the case, contacting their support will usually result in being able to buy another copy of your own OEM operating system disc for significantly less than the real deal. Mine would've cost me $25 to replace if I hadn't been able to get my own disc back from my lazy friend.
It's still lame paying $25 for a CD containing something you already own, but much better than having to buy a new copy anyways.

I'll believe it when I see it on store shelves and hear about major studios releasing titles on it.
For anyone who doesn't get it Ouya is an indie console being developed as "the people's console" which will cost $99 and is not on lockdown and can be modded and such freely. The dev kit to make games doesn't cost a thing. It raised like eight million dollars on Kickstarter somehow. Probably by pandering to Redditors.
From what I gathered it's a hundred dollar PC that you hook up to your TV and play games. I'll believe it when I fucking see it.

I hope we find something cool.
I wonder what part of Mars they aimed for specifically? They must have, we've mapped the planet with photos. Maybe they aimed for an area where we know ice is? If we were trying to discover things about Mars' past you'd think that an ancient dried ocean or something like that would be the bulls-eye.

In my last one I threw a big party at my old house and then went on some quest around town while it went on to get more alcohol with some fictional women.
I think it's a sign that I need to go get more alcohol.

All this makes me want to go to Burning Man once. I image it's similar, although at Burning Man people can be naked and everyone does drugs. I imagine I'd just drink a lot and see shows and check out all the cool art exhibits.

Ah, that's too bad. For a first trip to the US I would pick NY over Boston too. Both are very cool, NY is just obviously a bigger place with more to see and do.

No, you could build one way "better" for the price, not get one. The fact is if you buy a complete computer, Mac or PC, you're going to be paying more. It makes complete sense, too. Labor is anything but cheap. In my shop we charge $70 an hour for labor.

Nice steals on that rig.
I can speak up as an owner of both Mac and PC. I built my gaming PC myself and I have a macbook pro that's quite a few years old now.
The build quality is really nice. It's been dropped on the floor and not been damaged (although I don't suggesting dropping yours on the floor).
I also had it repaired for free once when I fried it doing an over-night compile. Since I was running windows to do that, I was technically outside of the warranty, but they repaired it for free anyways. They very well could have said "tough shit" and sent me packing.
Considering that I got five good years of use out of it I can't complain. Obviously different people have different needs. I was a commuting art student and so the MBP was a pretty obvious choice for me.
That said, now that I don't commute and I mostly game, I don't think I'll be getting another Mac any time soon.
I also find it hard to believe that a whole country uses both and unanimously decides one is shit. Probably because that's obviously pulled right out of his butt.

Man, you're going to love it. I need to go again soon, last time I went I was pretty young. It's a shame because I live just a couple of states over. Be sure to eat the food street vendors sell instead of going to a fast food joint. Also eat at little mom-and-pop owned restaurants whenever you can. Going to a Yankees game would be a heck of an experience too. If you do just remember to shout that they suck for me. (it's a Boston thing)
I spent a week in Florida a couple of years ago, also in the summer like you're going to. It's HOT. And it stays light until night time. Also there are these little tiny lizzards e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. Like, everywhere. Lizzards. A few days there sounds a bit more enjoyable than a week
Also, you don't need to worry about getting your bum-bum touched by a TSA agent. Just go through the motions quickly and be polite, remember to take all of your metal and shoes off before you go through the detector, and you'll be past them in 30 seconds.
They only hassle people that look shady, sketchy, seem pre-occupied, or are brown. Individuals cause trouble, not families. If you're with your family and on vacation you're totally fine.
Have fun bud, next time you go to the states you should visit Boston! There's a lot of history there. You can see hundreds of years old, gigantic, wooden warships and things like that.

If you wanna be really hardcore, look up Das Keyboards. You can get blank ones. Solid, jet black, no key markings at all.
Ah, I just checked in the basement, my last one wasn't that exact one as it didn't say k800 anywhere on the box (just logitech, no model name at all) but it looks damn near identical. mine was probably the cheapo lame version

Same as me man. Walked into the store with the intention of getting a full HD monitor, found one that looked great, got it. I don't know if yours is LED, but mine is, and right next to my LCD Asus monitor, the difference is pretty noticable. The Asus handles darks so, so much better. It seems to me that the LEDs are just too bright, and even when displaying black they are lit completely. The result is pretty bad looking darkness in horror titles. It just doesn't get close to black. It displays black as a darkish grey due to the LEDs being lit still, I think.
Looks great in the day time, but at night in the dark, it's just not nearly as dynamic and broad as my #2.
What are mechanical keyboards? Ever seen video or a recording of a pro playing and their keyboard sounds like an AK47 firing? The keys have almost no resistance going, but when they get to the bottom, they make a loud, satisfying, snap. The result is that after prolonged use your fingers are less tired, because less force is needed for each stroke.
Most use what are called Cherry MX switches, just a different way of doing keys. The strokes are crisp and snappy, and the loud clicks are soooooo satisfying. Very popular among gamers and people who use computers all day for work, like a couple of my friends who do remote tech support.
But after you get one, any other keyboard you use feels mushy, soft, slow, and unresponsive.

Nice setup man! I recently found out that Nvidia only supports 2 monitors per chip and that my 560ti only has one chip. I has a sad.
I guess my rigs not as done as I thought.
Awesome pick on the mouse, Logitech rules. People who suggest non-logitech mice have never owned a logitech mouse :P. I also have an Acer monitor as my primary and I gotta say I was a little disappointed in it. My #2 monitor was less than half the cost and looks so, so much better color-wise and the darks are so much darker. When A Machine for Pigs comes out I'm probably going to play it on that monitor instead of my primary. That's the last time I buy an LED monitor.
Its a little hard to tell from the pic but I think that exact keyboard was my last one before the Blackwidow. It was an awesome, awesome deal and looks very slick. Are you considering an upgrade to a mechanical in the future?
Also +1 for Fantomenk.
Sick setup my only concern would be a small mouse space, but I suppose that's to everyone's tastes.

Seriously I'm beginning to like "Loot". It's geeky but not a joke that will get stale, and it just sounds like a birds name. Lut. Lute. Loot. Yeah? It's also got a personal touch since D3 sort of rekindled a friendship between me and one of my best friends and neighbors when he got back from school. For a while there we drifted a bit. Now we do Inferno runs together and this little bird will be chillin with us and watching.
Loot is now the name to beat.
Of the suggestions so far I like Pyro (favorite tf2 class), Nancy (no clue why). Peetee is good except I already had a duck named PD (named after the author of Are You My Mother because the duckling followed us home) and that sounds too similar when you say it.
Mariowned your idea is awesome and if I had heard it before i picked one out, i'd have looked for a blue w/ white belly. Maybe if I decide to get him a partner I'll do it.
If you can all map circles around me at least I can shoot you in the face, right?
