As I said before:
I believe it works in the same way Google does, sorta. It checks how many times the link has been refered on other sites. By extrapolating that data, they can see how popular TWHL is, and thus the kind of money it could be generating. The monetary value comes from the worth of the site based on its popularity essentially.

Granted, no one is using TWHL as a platform for money, but hey, if someone offered me $75 000 for TWHL, I'd sell out like a cheap prostitute!

It really didn't take much effort. OS X has a converter widget that also includes live currency conversions. Since currencies fluctuate fairly often, stating the time and date is mandatory.

Yes, but the US dollar is worth just a little bit more Australian dollars, Tito. As for 1:03 PM GMT+10 on Friday the 25th of July, $74,035USD converts to $77,248.56AUD.
Congrats to all the place getters. My apologies for my lack of input, but I had to remove my Steam stuff to install Mass Effect as I have to review it. It'd be great if Mass Effect didn't suck in a fair few aspects.

Yah, this is my final year, and this is for my major project. I love the idea of animation and stuff, and I'm a big animation nerd as a couple of you know by now.

The bats will be darker yes: the lighting is washing everything out at the moment. As for the orange features, well...what do you mean?
Rim: Best thing is, they're entirely flat: they're just PSD files I whacked onto flat plains. Maya allows for PSDs, and it'll also recognise the Alpha channel for transparency, so it makes things easy. I made them flat so I don't have to model them, and also to cut down rendering times.

Strideh's right, and I think it's something that people don't tend to notice either. I almost don't see Pixar as 'just a branch of Disney': they're a unique company, and their films stand way above anything that Dreamworks dumps out in terms of visual storytelling and the stories in general.
Wall-E's getting critical acclaim at the moment, and so it should. Can't believe we have to wait till bloody August or September or something before we see it.
Wait, so Pixar films don't have a right to be good? :/

Anyone who complains about the delay is essentially volunteering to do our work for us. And that includes a bunch of design projects, programming projects, exams and a major 3D project.
Oh wait.
Also, who's atom >_>
Sure hope you had a reason to buy a laptop and not a desktop.
As usual, it'll suck. My bets on Kid Icarius, but I have a sneaking suspicion there's a DS hardware revision on the way.
My favourite character is the glasses guy, mainly because he's about 60% me.
Rim: They do.
That's another thing too: there's no proper shadows being cast at the moment. :<

Holy crap man...hope your house is alright!
Tbh, I saw the trailer and saw curving bullets and Jolie and immediately thought it sucked.
Last paragraph makes it completely acceptable though.
There were actually a fair few references in that film, but it wasn't taken up by them.
Pixar: Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille and Wall-E.

He's not rigged, Luke.
Reeves will win the Oscar for that.
