Long gone. This was made on my college macbook which is long gone. I'm dabbling in Source 2 for funzies maybe I'll make something similar to this because I did quite like this dumb little map.

Thats fine man, we're all figuring things out together really. We've got one older guy who's never played a thing besides military sims
Six of sixteen are founded right now, one more on his way, plus you that would make 8. If no one else shows we could all found a second city once we max our firsts out.

TIM was one of the best parts of middle school tech classes!
Atom I just started a 16 city region with 3 other friends, we should have a fourth soon and possibly 2-3 more eventually. It's on US West 3. Once you start the tutorial you can quit and it will count as doing it, then I can shoot you an invite and you can claim a city. We should have enough space for 2 cities each once we figure out who is playing and who isn't.
We play in Mumble too, so I can give you the address when you do end up playing.

Here's my first one so far. I really should have paced myself better, the most cash I've had is about $100,000 and I'm having a hard time keeping up with services/utilities. Every time I get money I need to spend it all on upgrading police/fire/electricity whatever. I'm also out of space pretty much. Wish the city sizes were as big as they are in 4.

My thoughts too, Pengy. It's a good game, which is why the launch has been so sincerely disappointing. If they had titled it "SimCity: Online" then it'd be less of a big deal, but this way I feel just slightly lied to.
ATDestroy, if you love SimCity that much, you'll probably really enjoy this once the servers get stable. It's addicting. The international aspect of it is super cool.

I've used Steam's offline mode once in the past three years, to go on vacation. Lately I've realized I'd rather spend a few days snowmobiling, riding a quad, or fishing than playing the same games I can play every day back home on my shitty old laptop in a cabin in the woods. You need to predict your internet connection cutting out(or do it the night/morning before you leave for the middle of the woods), and activate it through the menu, then close steam. Yes it keeps running if you disconnect during a game, but:
So does SimCity. If it hasn't reconnected by the time you quit, it waits to sync your data to the cloud.
"if your internet happens to go down while you're playing, the game automatically quits just to fuck with you," Uh, no, no it doesn't. A little icon appears telling you you're de-synced and another appears when you're connected again. They pop-up in game. Not sure if you just made that up, or heard it somewhere. If you heard it from someone, they lied.
Point's moot really. Unless you're psychic, Steam's offline mode is largely useless. Honestly, when was the last time you used it?
And Atom I don't see your request yet. Did you send it to the right name?

Ok, I'll keep an eye out. It looks like servers are starting to get stressed again, it's getting near prime-time here in the US now.
I managed to play quite a bit today though, perhaps by this weekend things will have continued to improve at the rate they are and we can start something up.
I will once again point out the irony of Steam users complaining about needing an internet connection to game, because it's too funny.

Yeah if waiting in line to get in until they sort this out doesn't appeal to anyone, then don't buy it yet. It's about a 15 minute wait right now.
I don't even have a laptop so the online thing doesn't bother me. Steam's the same way so I can't really complain about this. Not getting to play for the first day after buying it I will HAPPILY complain about though. That was shite.

Striker you need to make a PB & J sandwich. The dryness is circumvented with a glass of milk. Take a big bite, take a sip of the milk. Repeat.
Also, try a peanut butter and banana sandwich. That one takes a little working up to try, but you will NOT be disappointed. Slice a banana up and after you spread the PB on the bread, add an equal layer of banana slices, then top with the other slice of bread. White bread. Also to be eatan with a glass of milk.
And yeah, what Pengy said. Chocolate spread, or even better, Nutella, which is a chocolate/hazelnut mix. Also best in a sandwich with white bread and a glass of milk.

yeah. keep RAM the same across the slots. don't mix brands either.
Also, you can't go wrong with a 670. 680's are really expensive, and 690's are even more so.
I just picked a 660 yesterday because it was on sale, and I'm getting between 80-150 frames in Crysis 3 on high. My shitty CPU is to blame for the deviance. The 670 would probably add 10 to that, but you can't ignore your CPU and MOBO and stuff like that.
My friend just bought a pre-made, and it's actually baller. Better than my built one. An i7, a 7980, and 16gb ram. I'm jelly. You could get one, but the one thing you DEFINITELY need after you do is a second HDD. Keep all your shit on the second, big HDD and your OS on the first one. That way you can clean whipe your windows every once in a while without spending four days downloading your games again. Nothing like a squeaky clean windows install.

I enjoy my wide open space too much to consider moving. Not a fan of crowds. Traveling to other countries is much much harder over here though, that's a bit of a downer.

JeffMOD we have confirmation that he was mentally unhealthy, diagnosed, and was being treated with medication. Depression was the only confirmation so far. That's all we know. Given that he killed both his parents, children, then himself, depression was clearly not his only problem. Depressed people tend to just kill themselves.

Mental disorders un-rightfully carry a huge, huge stigma in the US, and that discourages treatment by people who have them. Healing becomes something shameful, and that is disgusting to me.
Nothing can be done about the 350,000,000 guns in the country. There are more guns than people, and if you think you can make them fucking vanish into thin air because we decide they should be illegal, you need to think again. Roughly half of them are unregistered and unaccounted for, and we can't confiscate things if we don't know who has them and where. It's as simple as that.
Every time something like this happens, the tired and repeated brain-dead gun control debate completely overshadows and buries the very fixable and real problem regarding mental illness.
The person that committed this was severely depressed. Depression kills, and very rarely, as in the tragedy that happened today, very severe depression takes out a group of innocent people with it. Mental disorders are real, they are normal, and they should not be stigmatized.
If this man was in a therapeutic home under watch of doctors, as he clearly should have been, this would not have happened. That's that.

Skals it's an invite to the full game.
DoTA 2 breaks down like this: Spend 20 minutes doing early-game WoW-type gameplay (auto-attacking miniature and completely non-threatening monsters slowly while you just move your Toon forward and back accordingly) while your enemies do the same. Then once everyone's characters have leveled up a bit and they've bought gear and can actually do damage, everyone starts killing each other, dying, blaming their teammates, claiming they are the only person on their team doing shit (the technical LoL/HoN/DoTA term is being the "carry") and then 30 minutes later, after a total of 50 minutes of a delicate and perfected mix of boredom, insulting, and face numbing tension (the tension being the best part of the game) then one team wins and one team gets called "fags" and/or "noobs" by their teammates.
Then you queue into matchmaking and do it all again.

Cyber monday I got 16gb RAM for $50. Awesome. Next year I'm either going to get a MOBO/CPU combo or a MOBO/GPU combo pack. My MOBO is the weakest part of my rig, my cpu is a 3.0ghz phenom II and my gpu is a 560ti. Which do you think would be more bang for my buck? Replace the CPU or the GPU?

Jimmy Zombieloffe and Grim are still alive, I talk to them everyday. Grim maybe less than every day. He is however in the channel as I type this. Want me to tell him you say "hi"?
