Hello TWHL!

It's been awhile hasn't it? Aside from posting Butts in the ShoutBOX I really haven't been on. But I recently started getting back into mapping for Source and kind of wanted to show off a small portion of a map I'm working on.

I was bored in class a few days ago(more like everyday amiright) and started drawing up plans for a small street segment map, and reinstalled the sourceSDK and fired it up. I've been working on it in most of my free time, and I'm actually really happy with where it's going, so I'll post a couple of screenshots of the progress on one area:

If you look at the file names you might notice that 4 numbers are missing, they are just in between images. I set up a point_viewcontrol cause I thought it'd be cool at the end to compile all the images into one cool fading thing. So yea, I'll post more pics later, I want to keep working on this and not forget about it like my other stuff.

I've mostly been working on flash projects the last few months when I can, work and school have been taking up most of my time, but with the semester coming to and end I'm hoping I start to get more free time.

Hello fair and just TWHL! It's been a long time, how are you? I'm fine-ish! I posted it in the chat a day ago but I'm going to journal this accomplishment so anyone who cares can see it FOREVER*. I made a game in Action Script 3. I call it EatManyHats, no spaces.You play as a Fez, who eats other hats.It took me about days to get it to where it is, and I'm very proud of what I've down. It started from me just wanting to learn how to code, something, ANYTHING! And while I decided to take a programming class in school next year, it wasn't good enough, I wanted to learn now! And I did! So that's the long boring back story of how it came to be.

Here is the game, I'd like to add it is not complete, I'm adding to it almost constantly in my little free time.

Hey TWHL-ers! Anyone getting Torchlight 2? I finished pre-loading it last night, I have a friend who might play it with me, but anyone else wanna group up for the Co-Op? The game looks like it's really going to be great. I can't wait to see what mods people come out with for it. Just add me on Steam or something, we can have a little 4 man TWHL Torchlight 2 group!

Hello TWHL! It's been a bit since I've posted a journal, or done anything really on the site, I comment on some journals here and there, that's bout it. Anyways, I bring news on the 3 part mini-mod type thing I was making in EP2 I was working on, that features the voice of Archie, and my own custom shitty textures. Unfortunately production of the maps has stalled, I started school last week, so my free time has really taken a hit. I just wanted to pop in and say hi really. Hi. So that's really all I have to say today, I got some other things going on, going through some stuff with all the hormones and shit, yay growing up. But I'm getting most of the weird feelings sorted out. What was it like maturing for you guys?

Hello! It's been a bit since I last posted a journal on here, so I'm going to try and fit some good stuff into this one. First, my new map! Currently just called "Brendanmint's Space Adventure Pt. 1", it is a small map that will probably take 5-10 minutes to completely, I made it to test out custom transparent textures, which there are a few off, and just trying to make a spaceship like environment.

Some Screenshots:There is a bit of custom voice acting, but at the moment it is quite shitty. If anyone has some free time, I need someone to record around 5 lines. I need an adult male, as it is an announcer issuing several warnings over the ships PA system. Just PM me and I'll send ya the lines in a .txt file.

In other news, July 12th-24th I'll be gone! I'm traveling with my grandmother to my home state of Pennsylvania, I'll make sure to take plenty of pictures while I'm there!

Hello Fine Gentleladies of TWHL(I jest!), I am sick of my Avatar, a recolored Scott Pilgrim I recolored a year or so ago. So I am looking to create my own original one using Photoshop. Sadly, I suck ass at it, I can do some basic stuff. But really I can't use it worth shit, so here is the main question, does anyone know any good beginner Photoshop tutorials? And the idea of making a journal wasn't mine. It was CTs, get mad at him. But in all seriousness, any help would be appreciated, any beginner tutorial would help, google is being a dick and all these advanced tutorials are coming up, even when I put in beginner. Thanks in advance!

Sup, haven't done a journal in a bit, just thought I'd share my newly found love of Doctor Who, this show is amazing, where the fuck has it been all my life. [SPOILERS OF TEH TV SHOW] I am not able to watch BBC America, so that might be it, the first 5 season are on Netflix though. I liked the 9th Doctor alot, but Tennant is really funny. So, this last 3 days have been fun, I've been giving The Humble indie Bundle to my friends, At 2.00 A bundle because I'm poor. But they are even poor-er(that's not a word mind you) then me. You know what sucks about today's world? Everything revolves around money, EVERYTHING. It seems like all the rich people have lost the big picture and only think about themselves. Scratch that, it doesn't seem like that, thats how it is. We are paying actors billions of moneys to make us sit on our asses and rot. And paying our teachers $15.00 an hour to make sure we don't all turn out like shit. Now normally I wouldn't complain. But I saw something really cool I might have thought about getting in the near future when I get a job, when I saw the damn price tag on it, now yes, I realize this is a High-End object. But the price is ridiculous. I can't believe the stuff people charge for some things. I realize I'm only 15 and you all will just take a shit on my opinion, but you all have to realize its time someone made this bullshit end, I'm middle class, but were barely making it. No one cares for middle and lower class, only rich people matter anymore, and its bullshit. Flame me and whatever bullshit below in your comments. But I know I'm not the only one who isn't completely fucking stupid.

well, I'm back TWHL, and I have a few pics I need to get off my camera, but only like 2 or 3 are from San Antonio. My father and step mother decided they are splitting up. And I left on a plane instead of the 16 hour car drive home. After a 2 hour flight and a 3 hour lay over in Salt Lake City, I finally took a plane home, for only an hour. I took some pictures of the Beautiful mountains surrounding SLC, and some pictures from the plane, we went through a cloud and you could barely see the wing on my second flight! I love turbulence! I'll post pics as soon as my camera stops being a bitch.

Sunset from the car i was in.This is The Thing?! A tourist attraction that you will see a billion ads for driving down the highway, its a damn mummy. We didn't see it this time around.This is San Antonio from a distance, I would have some of it from the city but my cameras batteries died when I was at the Alamo.My aunts dog Max.The first plane I was on from San Antonio to Salt Lake City.some pics from the plane.Then I couldn't get a good pic of the airport or the city as I was at the wing of the plane, but here are 2 pics from SLC International.Then, the last three pics are blurry from the second plane, but the first two are of the mountions areund SLC, and then one of how we could barly see the wing of the plane. I got the exit seat both flights, and both times got the rows to myself.

Here are the two planes, my seats marked.
the first was a Canadair Regional Jet 900.And the second plane was a MD-90.
I originally was in seat 25C, but I moved back to 26E so a couple could sit there in case of an emergency. Because the row across from me was empty as well.So that concludes my fucked up weekend, ya miss me TWHL?

Hey guys, just saying good bye before I leave for 6-7 days, I'll be in San Antonio, Texas. Going to '6 Flags FIESTA!' and visiting my aunt, its like a 6-9 hour car drive, this shit will be hectic, why cant we have a huge Cross-Continental Rail-Way system or whatever you Europeans have. Well, see you guys! I'll post pictures when I get back, the state can be beautiful at times, and were passing through New Mexico, so that will be fun. I wish I would have had my camera when I went to D.C. Enough rambling, Later TWHL!
