Took a break from mapping today to play HL2: EP2 again. Only this time on max GFX.
Looked very nice and the ending still worked on me even after knowing what happens. Although I can't forget the shivers down my spine when Eli thanked me for all that I had done. I thought oh great he is out in the open...he'll be snipered...I did not expect BOOM NOES STAB SLURRRRRRPPPPP NOOOOOOO don't leave me!
Still I am quite curious how Valve will start EP3...Whether we'll ride in the cockpit or end up telling Kleiner and Magnusson who end up having a funeral before we leave...Still I like to see what they do with the artic if we go there...Source still has a bit to go before outdoors look good...EP2 did well but foliage faded in as I drove closer...
On another note I noticed a lot of mods are being announced now. Hunter?s stands out as one. It has a unique style to it and I hope it is finished unlike its sister counterpart. I myself started a small SP mod quite a few months ago. I spent about 2 months roughly (not 24/7) on the first map which has a lot of scenes. This is my first real attempt at releasing something to my best ability and I hope I can finish it sometime...It will be a long wait if I can push myself. Reading a creative writing book by some woman...she said whenever she didn't feel like doing something she would push herself to do a little so that at least she put something behind her back for the day and you feel good that you did 'some' work...
Anyway I never said have a good 2008 so yeah...I expect lots of awesome maps and mods from you guys!
