Striker StrikerI forgot to check the oil pressure
The brain is something so complex that in some situations I find it hard to control my own brain.
It's like this, today the enthusiasm of programming caught me again so I decided to read about some miscellaneous things here and there. The problem is, throughout my reading I encountered several links\pieces of information that sparked my interest. And from those links I saw other links\pieces of information etc... ending up with a ton of tabs opened.
I even ended up installing a combined scripting-programming-batch language(something like an advanced BASIC), "AutoIT"(I focus on C++ though, but for fast funny things this is awesome). With this piece of shit, if you have da' skillz, you can create complicated software in hours !(ok this sounds ridiculous).
I also read that it's possible to have lucid dreams. It says that's a cool out of the body experience, creating your own universe. I always wanted to fly... I even had a cool dream where the sensation was almost real...But it's hard. You have to keep a dream journal and practice everyday "reality checkup" so that it goes somewhere inside your brain so that you can "remember" to do this in a dream. It's a somewhat progressive evolution, and at its peak is where the fun starts.

tldr: I wish I could control my "flow of interest" or something like that, so I can concentrate on one subject at a time.

I flew once in a dream. I was on a bike, and it wasn't a lucid dream.
I seem to remember the dream being about my house having talking bricks.
I also had a lucid dream, but at the time I just wanted to wake up, because I was just a kid, so It never occured to me to make the most of it.

I used to have 100-250 browser tabs open at the same time every once in a while, before I learnt not to get sidetracked too much on the web.

I tend to always get sidetracked. Right now I have eighteen tabs open, but I tend to have about fifty open. Although never as many as 250.

Two dreams I can recall is one at my old primary school where I was able to jump fairly high and I could sort of fly by flapping my arms. Quite a fun sensation and then there was a time where I felt I guess sort of heavy like a wave of water was hitting me but it was quite overwhelming and at the same time I felt dizzy like I was falling.

It caused me to wake up and I actually made a yelp noise.

Lucid dreams are no fun to me. It's always a treat to see where my head takes me, even if it's terrible, but I can never consciously come up with anything remotely close to what my subconscious seems to do.
If I were to ever lose that, I would be very disappoint.

Have some of you really not had any memorable dreams for such a long time, or were these just particularly significant?

I can't often remember my dreams. The last one I had was yesterday, where BM had been released. Again. And again, only in the dream. :(

Today I started a "Dreams Diary". I want to track down my hidden personality. Dreams actually express the truth. In non-lucid dreams, consciousness can't be lied and uncovers our true face.

But that happens only in some types of dreams. Today I had a "wish-dream" as I like them to call, when I really wish an object I have dreams about it.
You know there's a Logitech keyboard with orange illumination and an LCD panel ? Well, I had a dream with it :D. Everyone was shouting near me" Now here's a real gamer!".

Today I also started on reading sociology&religion facts...A friend gave me a book "Finding Darwin's God". It's quite interesting.

You sound like someone who deals tarot cards and reads people's palms.

There's often truth behind a dream, but not always.

yeah lucid dreaming is so awesome, i am going to try practicing the "reality checkup" thing you mentioned! = )

I'm the same way too about getting sidetracked. are start off doing/searching something simple, and end up checking out 50 other things, and never completing the first task!
