Hi everybody,

We are looking for talented level designer for our mod, A Combine's Life.

If you haven't heard yet anything about us, visit our page, there you'll find all important informations:

www.sci-fi-tales.com

The mod is a singleplayer game, where you play a Metrocop. A Combine's Life has a detailed and exciting backgroundstory, which will be combined with an action-packed gameplay. The unique storyline of the mod consists of a lot of interesting dialogues, which will be synchronized by professionel voice actors.

The status of the development is already pretty far (about 65% of the whole project is done), a lot of maps, sounds, scenes and scripts are finished, we just need more level designer to finish the whole project faster.

Here are now the criterias for level designer:
  • At least 2 years experience with hammer
  • You should work well in a team and be often online
  • You should be able to create very detailed maps with a good ambience (lighting, etc.) and complex scripting
  • You need some references of your previous work (pics, videos, maps), which you can show us
  • You have to be able to work fast and with high quality
If you want to apply for a mapper position, write an email to:

reonid@web.de

We'll answer you immediatelly!

You can see on the screenshots, that
there are a lot of different locations in the game:

Ah another Sauce mod. Looking at the media it could look better but I'll give you the hands down since finishing 'a' mod isn't easy let alone making it look good.

Just two crits. 1. The images link to Imageshacks my.php which is filled with adverts. You can solve this by copying the direct link and putting that in place of the my.php line.

2. Your mods website has adverts that block the media. D:

Apart from that hope you get some people. Not nice to see mods die. Even the top rated Nightfall mod died recently ^^

3. While the maps look decent, the screenshots were taken without anti-aliasing enabled. Even if it makes you lag in-game, media shots should be of highest quality, and lag is not important when taking still-shots.

the outdoor architecture doesn't take advantage of HL2's wonderful texture selection.
