What do you think of this article?
I think it's an over-simplification when an addiction is defined primarily by the number of hours devoted to an activity.
Addiction is a problem, and it should be defined as such only if an activity starts to cause problems in other areas of one's life.
When I interview kids (my patients) for the amount of time they play games, I also ask about their school, social life, and other activities.
I have some patients who spend 10-12 hours a day playing games, and that's excessive by most people's standard.
But that article claims that three hours a day is excessive?
