Umm, use steam to download a fix-up for your orig. half-life... it'll do it automatically.

You need to open Steam and right-click 'Install Game' and it will convert your WON installation into Steam's GCF format, and then it will proceed to update it.

If you own OpFor, Cstrike, Ricochet, DoD, etc, just right-click and 'Install Game' and it will import them into GCFs also. It automatically imports your mods into SteamAppsyouremailhalf-life.

Restart Steam. As in right click the tray icon, then click logout and exit or whatever. Then restart, but you'll need to re-login.

I beleive the problem is; I put Steam on my computer awhile back, created a acount got an e-mail that let me activate my acount, but I never got around to it. Recently I switched email acounts and lost the activation email. can I delete my old acount? (I wanna keep my acount name).

I don't think you can delete accounts. That is probably the reason it doesnt work for you, however.

If you remember your old email address and your password, you should be o.k. Make sure you're logged out of Steam's server by selecting "exit and log out". Then, inside your Steam folder, delete the file called "clientregistry.blob". Sign back in. Steam will update you to the latest, greatest steam. It may shut itself down a few times doing this, since your files are so out of date.

Also, go to http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=forums.

Or ask your member QuickSliver... he's a moderator there.
