hmmm, did you tryed a google search??.

it is no more then downloading a bot.
it all depedns on how good you want it to be,
the botman bot are the basic for all bots out there.
the jumbot is very good for hldm, it learns from the players movement.
the foxbot would be the best for team fortress
the podbot is the best for cs. if you want a easier one for cs you should try the teambot.

botmans website: http://www.planethalflife.com/botman/
jumbot: http://www.telefragged.com/thefatal/jumblow.shtml
foxbot: http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~foxbot/forum/news.php
podbot: http://podbot.nuclearbox.com/
teambot: http://www.planethalflife.com/teambot/

go try it out yourself, i have used bots for over a year, im also a waypointer.

Once you have the bot, there should be a guide on how to use the bot or a forum on the bot's page that may help you in setting up and playing games with bots.

usualy it is a addbot command in console, and i always edited a cfg file so my bots would be automactily added, very easy.

Would there be any chance that I could find a bot for just single player that was a bit smarted than the ones already on it or would I have to code it myself. And how hard might that be. Just wanted help because me and a couple of friend were thinking about doing a small mod or some testing of AI and stuff. Thanks in advance.

Well, afaik, the Bot code is based off the SP code (For HLDM at the very least) so they wouldnt be much smarter. You could code it yourself, but it would be fairly hard.

Unless you are a master of C++ and the HL SDK, you would never be able to code a bot from scratch.

That's what I was thinking, you'd have to write behavior code for every move you could throw at the bot to make it a good match and that would be nearly impossible.
