Damn you guys REALLY hate Dell.

Know what? I purchased mine for about 1k USD, and it's comparable with some of the stuff available for twice that amount, save for the video card, which isn't horrible, really, just not great.

Haven't had it crash due to a problem with the computer, either, all the problems were my doing. There is nothing wrong with them, that makes them so different from the next manufacter over. It's not like they're using shoddy parts, or anything.

But to stay back on topic...

Anyone else stuck on "Anticitizen One"? 'at chapter's giving me hell for some reason. It seems like it should be really easy, too :P

HL2 rox your sox!

Seriously though, the standard retail is the best option in my opinion. Benn playing through it, can't remember where I am now...I'm in the buggy anyway, which is incredibly fun!

My GFX lets me down. I can't run HL2 at high settings. In fact, the settings are quite low. Still looks amazing though!

1. Cost is $55 US -- kinda pricey right now for me
2. You have to log on to steam to play the SP game?! WTF!!!!
3. It prolly won't run on my computer anyway.
After downloading all the information needed and once steam has verified your copy of Half Life 2, you can then play it in an 'offline' mode which is what I'm currently doing. No need for connecting everytime you want to play, valve realized that would be a stupid idea.

So go out and buy it today!!

I've been around doing my occasional partake in answering questions for noobs. But I havn't been able to log on and have a good read in a while because of exams. But Now IM FINISHED!!
By the way, I would just like to add Half Life 2's gameplay is much better than the over hyped up Halo2, even though enjoyable, it should not be thought of as such a big improvement from Halo 1.
A bit of topic, but i am curious to see what other people think of the duel between Half Life 2 and Halo 2

No, a DVD drive is not required for DVD discs: you can use the small lens provided and enter the data required manually.
