HELP!

I've added all kind of cars n' stuff to my map, but when I start the game all I see is big red ugly error signs! i guess this means that css cant find the model for for example car005. Do I put the model in some folder or what do I do?

You shouldn't unpack the models - If you've setup Hammer correctly it will look in teh GCF files for models and use files from there.

I'm pretty sure that I've set up Hammer according to the VERC helpsite.
I'm really a noob at this, so I'm afraid I don't quite get it. Is Hammer giving me the wrong models for css? because I can see the models fine in hammer, it's just when I start the map that they get replaced with a big error sign. So it must be Counter-Strike source that should, but apparantly doesnt, look in the GCF files??

I got this "ERROR" model in place of some prop_details I implemented to my map earlier - A red error message appeared in my console notifying me that I needed to use a different type of prop entity for the specific model.

May I ask, what entity are you using to implement the cars?

Thanks for helping me out! I realise the tediousness of explaining everything to guys like me, just starting out. I'm really impressed by the quality of this forum.. best one I've come across on the topic.

Jebus, I feel stupid! I was using prop_detail, which obviously doesn't work. Didn't see the "world model field" ( even though i tried for over an hour to get it working lol). I used prop_ragdoll instead and voil?!
Now I'm going to experiment with the different prop_* modes, and fix my horrible sun, so that I don't need to run around with a flashlight :)
