I'm waiting for the fgd and full sdk... but meh, it's kinda nice. props everywhere.

Yes I've heard it was nice, but what are some of the new things that can be done? And when will the sdk be out--Should be out soon. Oh and the fgd---> Did'nt that come with Hammer4???

that anonymus up there was me...

I looked for prefabs but i didnt see any. I wish they would have had some common objects like boxes and such.

I thought the sdk was hammer4. What else is supposed to come with it?

I had a preview copy of the SDK, Hammer 4 and the FGD with my review disks. But I'm not going to send it to anyone. Top secret stuff (well. not really).

There aren't prefabs anymore, prop models really replaced them. You can still create them for architectural elements, though, if you want.

Imho, making a prefab takes more time than just dragging the block tool and pressing enter.

Prefabs suk, especially when some ametuer makes them.

The .fgd still isnt out? well, of course there in no way of testing your maps because there is no multiplay DM.

@IEMC: No, but you can manually make the entities if you mess around in the console enough - for example, the Magnum is weapon_357, suit item_suit, Alyx npc_alyx (methinks), etc.

The sdk doesn't come with it.. The sdk is the unpacked .dll file For HL2
You mean the fgd file should come with it--lol.

Rabid.. Do you relize how long that would take.. The fgd file should come with it--Its like releasing HL1 Without the "cd code" It does'nt make any sense whatsoever. ;)

I'm fairly sure that should be hyphented.

Good way to figure them out is to try give npc_blah in the console. I've figured out a fair few from there:

npc_zombie
npc_fast_zombie
npc_poison_zombie
npc_strider
npc_eli
npc_gman
npc_kleiner
npc_antlion
npc_dog
npc_citizen

See? All make sense.
