Good news everyone!
Steam sucks again!

Ok, here's what's happening.
The topic says it all, really.
I can't open source SDK, I can't start a game.
When I try to launch a game, it says "your login ticket is expended, please re-login!"

When I try to run Source SDK, I notice that the updater is stuck at 87%!
And it doesn't move!

It's like it can't reach out, but it can't, I de-activated all security.
Re-started, still, steam acts the same.

What's going on??
Please don't tell me that I have to re-instal this shit again
I got like, 50 games and mods!

Do you know what the problem is?
Please help me!

Backup SteamApps folder, and client.blob, just copy them anywhere or zip em up or something, remove Steam, and reinstall.

PS: Stop trying to be elitist with your "Steam sucks!" attitude. It's not really original, every other noob tries to claim that Steam sucks.

I think steam sucks because it allways screws my things upp.
I must have re-instaled it like, 10 times (seriously)
And I haven't used steam for so long.

But are you sure the games doesn't need like, register files, so if I just copy them in to their old position, they'll not work?
Or will they regain their reg-files on launch?

it should download all content again if you just delete the folders i.e the sdk folder for example.

Also, have you changed anything in your comp? new drivers etc.. i know it sounds farfetched but you never know

New mouse and keyboard but,, I don't think that would cause any problems,, I did add a program called ATI tools, but that shouldn't cause any problems ether.

If you look back at old systems, windows sucks too.
Everything is,, uh,, compareable.

Have you tried to repair steam?

Meh. I just ran steam for the 1st time after like 3 months..
I updated pretty quickly..

It seems to work now,, weird.
That re-instal did the trick.

@Madcow: Steam probably just needed a clean up. Make sure you backup the GCF's every now and then, saves you strive if you lose it all. If it happens, you can copy the backup version and update it. It'd be quicker than re-downloading EVERYTHING again.

Well, I must admit, steam is a lot better now than what it was like, uh,, well I don't remember for how long it has been out but, it is better than what it WAS.
Still, they need to fix some things, like that odd updating system.
It pisses me of.
