This is literally the first map i've made, I got Half Life 2 about 2 months ago and started mapping near enough straight away. Started this map and kept on going I guess, it's really designed for gmod deathmatch, but I guess it could have other uses. It isn't perfect but it ain't bad in my opinion, you've read this far so you might as well check it out.
It's an underground bunker part of a sewerage complex.... that I haven't quite finished, in case your wondering just what the hell it is. The map is also MEANT to be dark, I know how some of you people arne't too fond of the dark (pussys) but thats the way it was intended, the top floor is also supposed to be cramped, DOOM3 style.
All constructive critisism welcome but no "NUBE" "n00b" "SHITTEST MAPPER OUT" because it isn't useful and I'm not going to get any better with that kind of "advice" plus it makes me cry

But from the pic it seems you got the grasp of lighting pretty well and you even used a model as a light origin.
Well done. Nice for a first map it appears.
Very, very good for a first ever map.
But I am having some trouble believing that you didn't make any maps at all before this.
