This was going to be my first finished mod, but from over thinking it, I stopped where I was. Their is no storyline to the mod, as I didnt think it needed one until half way through working on it. Pretty much the mod is just based on a series of challanges. 2 Challanges per map, except on level 5, as thats where I stopped, makeing a total of 9 challanges.

Im already remakeing this mod, but with much higher detail, a storyline, and more realistic challanges. And so far the new version is going slow due to the effor needed for it. And if somthing doesnt work, just say so and ill fix it.

I accept all kinds of comments since this is just an old piece of work.

Edit: Fixed the mod not loading the maps.

Okay, I know that I am new here and all, and not intending to sound over critical, but if this mod was stopped before it became your first finished work, wouldn't it be more appropriate to have it listed in the Unfinished Stuff section of the Map Vault? But don't worry, I will still download it and check it out to be on the safe side first, before I give any kind of rate afterwards.

The reasion I put it in the Completed maps, was because overall all maps were finished in design, its just the mod was stopped at level 5, since I decided to restart with makeing it, just alot better.

The(c)Striker, do you use Goldsource? If not, then that may be the problem. If not, then I dont think their should be a problem.

After going through it, I am going to give it 3 stars. Reason for, you left space for further improvement, and it does need it. It's okay, but not great, so when your remake finally gets done, my 4th and maybe even the 5th rate star will be standing by for possible consideration.

I had this problem also, but for some reason it didnt happen until I stopped working on the mod. The way to fix this, is just place all the maps from the mods folder into Valves map folder.

As for the rateing, im hopeing to get more. But thanks for the rateing Tito. I understand the maps where dull in detail when It was already to late. But the new version of Enigma will be high in detail, and the challanges will be much more realistic.

The reason why you're getting that error, halflife_genius, is because the mod folder has spaces in it.

To VJ300: NEVER EVER put spaces in mod folder names, use underscores (_) instead. Only then the first map will load. The same goes for bsp files.

I also recommend not to use captial characters for bsp file names and mod folder names.

As for the mod, i didn't finished it, because it kinda bores me. No offense to you, VJ300. :)
But mostly you're just smashing you're way though uninspired bland architecture. I kinda like your invisible laser beam trap though.
No other thing, there's hardly any combat, except for that alien slave. That maze level was pretty boring too, really. There's just no gameplay.

Oh well, since this is old work, i don't think you really care. :)

Im looking forward to your remake, hopefully it will be much more challenging and better looking. :)

Thanks Muzzle. I was woundering why the mod wouldnt load the maps, I thought it just caught some problem, but now I know the reason. And yes, the mod is dull, but the new version will be much better looking, and will have enemys during every challange.

Texturing 7/10
Texturing was very simple yet effective and no errors were found.

Entity Layout 10/10
Fantastic use of a wide range of entities, very impressive.

Design 10/10
Each puzzle was unique and while some became very annoying after a short while they were quite good. The only ones I didn't like was the first room, I didn't get why that was hard. The last map, I couldn't do it as I can't surf and I think relying on a players knowlegde of what they are actually meant to do more than the ability to do it is a drawback.

Ambience 8/10
Lighting was solid although plain in some places and there was some nice ambience and structure to the map.

Map Skill 3/10
A lot of plain box rooms, some simple architecture could spruce them up a bit, although the last teleporter room was very good.

Total 7/10 (3 stars)
I really enjoyed playing this, it was fun, creative and challenging to the point where it was still possible for newer players but immersive enough for experienced players.
