full star full star full star full star half star Download (9.19mb)

11/24/13
EXTREMELY BROKEN
WILL NOT WORK
  • Sorry Everyone :(
I think the steam update screwed this up more-so than it was.
Supposed Compo entry for Map something historical (compo 29)

What it's supossed to be - 2 maps setting the back story, and a 3rd, gameplay focused map where you have to fight waves of zombies and zombines just using debris and the gravity gun.

What is is - 1 map setting half the back story, 1 map for filler that never got completed, 1 map explaining what went wrong.

Enjoy.

Oh "small_pox" is the first map.. so naturally boot up the console and type in map small_pox to get everything started.

I played your map and... I see you put some effort in those scripts. You even worked on your apologies!
It's a shame you didn't complete it. I found it fun to watch. The beginning actually felt funny.
There was no special architecture involved, nothing really fancy, but the atmosphere is quite well built. The small village could be more... full of life, you know. Some NPCs around there..
What a big ship! The ship was the bad part, I guess... lack of details around there :).

I hope you can actually continue this, even if it's not submitted to the TWHL contest anymore.
If you do want to continue this, don't forget to place some mist around the ship to enhance a bit the atmosphere :)

Great project!

D/Lin this hot shit

edit: that was NEAT! Could be that IDK how to do any of that scripted stuff, but that was really fuckin cool. This is going to make some people want to do colabs with you. I only wish the compo lasted longer so you could've finished!

Yeah. I just recently learned faceposer. Its a royal pain in the ass for Win7. Crashes a lot if you dont do everything perfectly.

Its extremely unpolished, and will remain so. This project is finished. It was a great learning experience so expect more like this in the future :)

I played it :D

I rofled in a couple of places, like when the ship randomly rotated 90degrees, and when you started talking. I think the 2nd map with the dock was amazing, It reminded me of Oblivion.

I downloaded and played this map, and i didn't get any enjoyment out of this. The mapping is comparably bad (the map simply stops at some points), the scripted sequences are unimpressive and overall, there's no point, in which i actually got to play.
I'm very sorry to say, but i've played better maps.

Thanks for the review.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it but It is very much unfinished; there IS no point.
