Hey all! Ghost129er here!
This is my first map for CSS which is based on a Minecraft map. It is an edited a NPC village, with more buildings and very few trees/plants/nature because of the map as it REACHED 27935 brushes! Lol, Its made of rectangles and etc, so yeah, breakable glass, jukebox, doors, and obsidian wall trapping you! Have fun playing and remember to add suggestions and remarks on this!

I have included all textures and sounds in the pack, just put them where it needs to be!(cstrike<Maps<bla bla bla)

Only had time to run through quick before i'm leaving the house for the day, but some really cools stuff:

+materials seem perfect as well the texture's sounds
+looks just like minecraft

+/-lighting is a bit bland
+/-sky seemed a bit bland and i didn't see any cloud blocks up there but maybe because i ran through so fast.

-sounds?
-layout could be more interesting(a bit too flat imo) but i am no guru of cs gameplay, so..
-3dskybox?

Are you adding the day/night cycle and the music? you could possibly add some monsters fairly easily, yet i don't know how'd that jive with gameplay.

Nice work! 3.5 rounds up to 4. a really good themed map, but room for improvement imho.

The mobs part was my intentional Idea! I wanted a night map with mobs, but dont know how to do it and would like to do it as a group help :( but yeah, Night would be cool, day night cycle, maybe not, im not pro, and clouds and 3d skybox, IT NEVER Works with me, I cant get the thing to work. Flat land, yes, the map took an hour to render! ITs made up of rectangles and etc! Millions! a flower is made up of two rectangles total, a hous, big one was 1250 rectangles, I THINK.

Just going from the screenshot, it does not seem right that that map should have 27935 brushes. I sure hope each "block" isn't its own brush.

Because it "READCHED", I've reduced it to 5K, PAST WAS REACHED, THATS WHY THERE ARE FEW DETAILS, I did mountains, hills, etc, but it reached its limit.

Source engine graphics at their finest. I wish I actually could play through this one. Alas no CS:S for me.
