hello i've just remodelled most of the first sector (contains 5 maps), and was just wandering what sort of areas/buildings could i had to a towns suburb area that haven't really been over used, currently, i'am doing a furniture shop. but i need to think of other places, but having too much difficulty.
the second best i came up with was a luandrette?

any ideas?

oh yes i forgot to mention that its a survival horror mod and alot of things are kinda busted up, seeing as zombies aren't really bothered about their surroundings. so things are kind of on fire...etc

no not really, they hunger is just wiered! don't get me wrong i think the hunger trilogy is prolly one of the 3 best mods out there, but the places where you can go are bizzare, from a church in the middle of a mountain range, then through a swamp, to a lava filled sinkhole up through the earths crust and straight into an loch/River which as a arch of rock somehow?, then to a railway track that leads to a dam which then backs onto the train maintenance building, which later leads to a wierd wild west town, to that fat a**-h*les cop shop then through a old english inner-city with sewer, then through a strange high security pathway, that leads to an jail and asylum that are next door to each other.

mine is going to be more realistic in respect to places you can go rather than having greatly varying areas like Neil M did on They Hunger, and also my mod shan't have much in the way of comedy/annoying idiots like the sherriff, unless i don't solve the non flinching moshing zombies problem.

How about a police station/ fire station/ medical clinic?

as far as i know all of those that you mentioned, well the petrol station, Medical facility and police station were all used at some point or other, i feel i need to stay away from the places that you wen't to in they hunger, just as much as i'am making my zombies a fairly lot different to the ones in they hunger that were just so funny.

i'll tell you somthing though its more difficult than you think, to think up of locations that have not been used by a similar mod. Even the person who created Heart Of Evil had this trouble.

thanks alot people thats alot of ideas i'am gonna incorperate them into the first sector (first sector is composed of 6 maps now) originally before i remodelled it, it was 3 maps :)

of course it will be free, but i will release the demo once i have finished
all of the first 3 sectors, but the full thing will have about 8 or 9 sectors totalling somthing like 30 odd maps or somthing like that, this means it will run through in to half life 2 release but i will, when HL2 gets released convert it into HL2 format hopefully if possible and make it an half life 2 mod, but thats about a month and a half away i think and i can have half of my 1st mod (episode 1) done by that time, not bad seeing as i'am working alone on this one to actually do the maps.

how about an oil refinery, or at least part of one. Could be extremely cool at night with explosions and stuff, you'd need lots of pipes and ridiculous poly counts though

perhaps, i could make it so that i change my notion of what will be in the later sectors, 6-8? than what i was originally going to put in them.

well this is the sector plans(more of a concept)

sector 1 = beginning/inner city
sector 2 = derelict factory site(saught of an old factory area, ie old cotton factory?)

Sector 3 = old dockyard
sector 4 = some saught of wood or very big rural park( ie like sharewood forest)

sector 5 = Old collery and mine? (not too sure on this one)
sector 6 = Natural cavarn system?
sector 7 = valley system?
sector 8 = quarantine zone?

oky doky, oh yes i've decided that i will take the readable letter idea and put it into my mod, pretty much how it was in Heart of evil, but maybe better.

I know that they are unfinished and the screenies are pretty bad but my MShape is messed up and that the better views at the minute, until i sort it out!

my diagnosis at the minute all of the above are unfinished in the mean of the skeletal frame, the nearest finished skeley is about 70% complete and its that large bipeadal long armed thing!, I calls it a Naga!
