since yesterday i have a problem. In hammer whenever i move around in camera view entities look like this:

the object in the pic is supposed to be a buggy. Vrushes looked like very colourful wireframes if i look at them at certain angles. Ingame theres no difference, everything seems normal, but its very anoying in hammer.
could it be my graphics card or hammer? I degraded my water reflections down to no reflections and then later back up to full reflections (i'm also having a water problem) but it didnt help. Since about then hammers been so f'ed up. is this a bug?

That's usually a sign of a corrupt map. Use the "Check for Problems" tool and see if you've got any invalid brushes. Run a compile and check for errors.

No, that happens for me alot, it has nothing to do with the map.
It's just the game going nuts.
Try restarting computer, workd for me sometimes.

i did but it didnt help :( also at the same time hl2dm kept crashing during the loadscreen (startup). I restarted my comp and that fixed that but hammers still fucked

Valve fucked it up unfortunately. So, I can no longer map, not only because of this 3d error but because Hammer crashes every 10 minutes now :(

Heh I must be really lucky because while everyone else has problems with Hammer I seem to never get any...Mind you I hardly map..Anyone want my super 'lucky' Hammer? :P

Here's a proper workaround!

C:Program FilesSteamSteamAppsAccount_namesourcesdkbin

create a shortcut to hammer and put -dxlevel 80 in the command line like this : "C:Program FilesSteamSteamAppsAccount_namesourcesdkbinhammer.exe" -dxlevel 80

this will correct the graphic error.
