Hey all, I haven't been around for awhile, and I wouldn't be around much cos it's exam time :

But anyhow, my Hammer seems to be broken. I can open Source SDK and get the menu, but when I double-click Hammer, it gives the "Program has encountered a problem and needs to close" message.

I have tried the "Refresh game content" option on the SDK menu, but that didn't help.
And I have tried "Deleting Local Content" and downloading it again, and that doesn't help either :

I know it's sort of vague, but if anyone has any Ideas for getting it working again, please tell me

Try opening all the games you own to do with Source aka HL2, CSS, DOD (If you own it)

Then refresh SDK and try.

if that fails, try deleting clientregistry.blob (yes, i did say .blob)

close steam before doing so. when you restart steam it will update everything to the latest. (it's possible something is conflicting with another update or something.)

I deleted the .blob (a good few times, because the update kept getting stuck : )
But when Steam finally updated SDK started working again, so thanks again
