I finally got the server to run properly thanks to the help of Luke via shoutbox.

So i'll be running a HLDM dedicated when i can, so if anyone wants a map playtested let me know and i'll d/l and throw it into the map rotation.

Awesome, ill join it when i can! But first, i need to reinstall all my games, including Half-Life and Steam, because i installed a fresh clean copy of Windows XP. Things are much faster than before.

Don't try to host a HL2DM server, because that is my job!

Muzzleflash, I always keep a copy of all the GCFs for when Steam craps up. When i'm too lazy to get the drive, I reload from the CDs/DVDs lol.

No info comes up for that IP in Xfire. I'll try connecting to it now.

EDIT: Xfire says it's German. This is going to lag badly if I can connect.

So what i'll do is try to host this when im at school or work, or basically even when im home and not doing anything really computer or bandwidth heavy.

actually thats pretty ontopic, its considering the consequences just so that 3 people can play together for 2 hours a day.

But Arcan, will you STFU please. There are no consequences, except maybe a few more dollars on an electricity bill. Your reasoning is beyond ridiculous, you might as well start protesting against TWHL being hosted 24/7.

the server's been up for almost 12 hours now, and i will run it overnight. so.. anyone want any maps up for tomorrow
