Hello, I started a defuse map for Counter-Strike v1.6 ! :)
Leave the comments about the fact its for Counter-Strike. I play cs for 8 years now and it just wont leave my vanes. Only constructive critism!

For now, I only got a few screens for ya!

Soon ill post a beta of the map. To play, but its near from done. I added some textures just to test the map. So allot is gonna chance, I only need to find/make the right ones :)

looking really nice, actually.

The interior sections need some detailing. At the moment they're just empty rooms.

You look like a fairly advanced and creative mapper judging from your earlier stuff, so please, utilize some of that creativity in removing & replacing those crates spammed everywhere! All facilities, industrial or scientifical, have designated storage rooms for crates and stuff, so it definitely makes absolutely no sense seeing them scattered all over the area. :P
Go for pipes, vents, gadgets, gratings and other stuff you'd normally see in a place like that.

Apart from that - looking good so far. Interior's lacking detail, though that's no problem for a beta map. Keep it up, looking forward to more. ;)

Anyway, all screen shots except the first one looks good.
It's too blocky, and it would look better if you used more textures.

@potatis_invalid, more ... Im already using 84 different textures :) And I like to keep rooms seperate by 1 single texture thats fills up the rooms. And then some other smaller less eye catshing textures around it :)

DING DING DING

First Beta release: dll here

The beta got:
  • Allot of small bugs
  • Light bugs
  • A huge vertex bug left from your spawn (walk to it and its gone)
  • No bombsights
  • No Terrorist Spawn
  • No much details, this was the first setup
Maby you guys can think with me about the gameplay and such. Where I need to place the bombspots. I got a few locations for possible spawns & bomb spots. Also Im planning to add, remove, adjust some tunnels.

If you know the beta has bugs in it, you should fix them before you release, that way, when people report more bugs, you know its something you didnt know about.

Just a thought :D

I played the map . It's pretty cool and realistic . hey , from screenshots you can tell it's a source map !
Anyway I loved the outdoor brushwork , and less the interior ...

Here's what I think is the worst area in the map :
