To all you Win7 users out there:

Why is it, that when I install Win7, activate, everything seems to be in order, etc. the wireless connection doesn't work? The OS tells me, that the connection's established, but it's unstable. Every 5-10 minutes or so, the connection just "drops out" and after a minute, everything's back to normal. Meanwhile, there's no connection error message, windows tells me, that everything works perfectly. My rommies don't have any problems with the wireless connection, and this happens with every wireless network (happens with the wireless network at the Uni).

Any ideas? D:

I'm guessing you've already installed the latest drivers for your WNIC?

Indeed, everything's up to date.

Did you buy a new cordless phone or other wireless devices? What type of wireless router do you have (801.11g or 801.11b)?

Thanks for the help guys, I managed to solve it...by downgrading the driver of my wireless adapter (Atheros) to an older, Win Xp (!) version. Found it on a forum somewhere after trying all Win7 / Vista drivers and fiddling around with the wireless options. Now that makes sense.

Thank-you, Microsoft. :/
