im pretty new to the new hammer of source, i have only used hammer for counter-strike mapping in the past, and i have seen a few tutorials online about how to make your first hl2 map, but i want to make a hl2 deathmatch map, or more specificly a co-op, you know with the monsters already in the level and you have to kill a certain type of them to get into the next room. Do you guys know of any tutorials or such to help me? thanks!

If you want to make a coop map for source, I suggest looking up how to setup a Synergy map.
On TWHL you will find all the knowledge you need to make a map, however as far as I know we do not have a tutorial which shows what entities is needed to make a Synergy map. Go to their website, I'm sure they have guides.

ok then, but then the coop maps on hl2dm on the server list, then those are all synergy maps actually ? im saying the coop and js_coop maps too

I didnt know hl2dm had coop.. must be a server mod of some sort.
I have no idea how you would pull that off. But you'd probably need a server with a coop mode to make it work
