So i know you use Source SDK for half-life 2 but then what type of hammer version do you use for the old half-life 1 ? Do you just download hammer and set it up manually to work with half-life ? thanks

You use Hammer 3.5

setup guide is here http://twhl.co.za/tutorial.php?id=47 If you are familiar with the sdk version of Hammer this is quite similar. Check the other tutorials too.
