Is there an easy way we could add an option to list threads by when they were last posted in? like the front page but make the list longer.

i find it counterproductive and inefficient to click 5-times on 5 forums and squint to look for new posts to recent threads, not to mention the stickies, which 99% of the time i have no need to look at, unless of course they have be posted to.

I've seen this done on other forums and it just seems better. I'm not saying remove the forums, just to have the option to view them all by recent posts.

This is not a rant, just i think it would be way easier/faster to have a "recent posts" view option available.

It could do somewhat well as a sidebar like the journal posts, with the ability to expand it.

Just a 'Recent Activity' button in the Forums header on the front page would be perfect.

That being said, there's usually not a whole lot of action happening at the same time around here. The 5 posts shown on the front page are usually more than enough...

I love both those ideas. The other thing i like about crollo's idea, is that the post list with post preview on the front page is MUCH easier to look at.

And i agree 5 posts is enough if you come everyday or multiple times a day, but not if you only check in every couple days or so.
