. Heres some vids showing a cool glitch in flow_control to get the egon with out the gauss. It can also be gotten with the long jump instead.

. For the glitch jump on the ladder. Get to the second rung and while crouching walk off the left edge of the ladder. You can also do it facing where you will be launched as I did in the vid.

. The secret on myles_room is shown because no one would find it in a million years. Its one of those secrets that only benefits the creator of the map. Pretty nifty.

I've never heard of those maps.

uhh. Sv_cheats 1. Map datacore. "bind f noclip". Walk to doors, press f and proceed.

And they are my maps. Not hard to find...

? I didn't use it because why host vid.s for others to view that would be pointless if they didn't know the maps or even have hl. Quality sucks bc I used a camera to actually record my monitor. I'm too lazy to mess with screen recorders and they are always glitchy anyways.

These vid.s are just to show the ideas. Not for quality or anything.

FRAPS has literally never been glitchy for me. Ever. And I've been using it for about 3 years.

You can upload the video to youtube and set it so that only people with the link can view it. Very few people, if anybody, will bother to download a zip of videos off mediafire.

FRAPS isn't much of a screen recorder, rather been completely optimized for DirectX and OpenGL games, but screen recorders on the other hand fail epically at recording gameplay as they are not optimized in any way whatsoever for OpenGL or DirectX.

Either way, gamecam, fraps, playclaw, whatever works, huh?

One massive advantage to recording native is that you can record widescreen, and a hell of a lot higher quality than any camera pointed at a monitor, so if you do decide to start recording any form of gameplay [Or anything really], please future proof your stuff and record it in widescreen, otherwise you get a pillarboxed video and it looks terrible on youtube.

If you can't select widescreen resolutions [HL1] record it 4:3 and then just crop and letterbox it.

Also, what the fuck Hunter, 24 fps? For gameplay? Uh no. Not even with motion blur.

I watched the video, cant get what are they about, except getting the gluon gun, but the level designs are awesome! How did you do that purple sky thing O_o

Also, what map is the 2nd one?

First one is flow_control. Second one is Myles_room.

And thanks the purple sky thing is purple additive fog sprites that are upscaled quite a bit and all different framerates. They stand out against the black sky.

If you can't select widescreen resolutions [HL1]
I run HL1 at 1920 x 1080 which, last time I checked, is wide

Depends on the version, WON has no support for widescreen resolutions to speak of, but steam might have changed that, although I've never been able to get it to work in the steam version either.

I think it also might help you have a widescreen monitor as well, whearas if you have a 4:3 or 5:4 the game goes "Oh, why would you ever want to run widescreen resolutions? That's ridiculous" (Unlike source which allows you to select any aspect ratio regardless of monitor)
Either or, as I said, if you're going to do any form of video compositing in modern age, for lords sake do it in widescreen, nobody likes pillarboxed videos.

EDIT: searched it up on google, there is supposed to be a box to select your aspect ratio stuff, but mine doesn't have it, that blows!
