but in all seriousness, why have a NSFW wallpaper? i've always found it odd when people have half naked chicks on their desktop...

It's nice to look at. I don't see what's inherently wrong with it, honestly.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's perfectly natural to want to look at that stuff, but it just makes one seem informal and it's 'odd' for them to just share with the rest of the world that they have a picture of a naked woman as their desktop, it implies they don't want to take the trouble of browsing for a picture [either internet or on the HDD] to see something like that, think of a teenager plastering a picture of a naked woman on his door, why does everybody else need to see it? We know woman can be beautiful, but come on, keep it to yourself please.

I always thought it was weird that some people get turned on by drawings. I certainly wouldn't have a cartoon in some sort of sexual pose as my wallpaper - it'd be bloody difficult to explain to a real girl who might want to use my PC/laptop to check her facebook or whatever.

My explanation of it is that I think it's a nice picture, nothing sexual about it. However, as Archie points out, it can be difficult to explain to girls.
Hence, on the occasions I have been asked by them, my answer has been 'Hey, Ariel's hot'.
They tend to accept that.
