This is happening in hammer, but not in-game. It doesn't happen at all viewing angles, but some of the applied textures rarely appear normal. It's annoying and it makes me confused. Do you guys have any idea what's causing this?

Have you clipped those brushes? It can sometimes cause that effect, when the plane the texture is on is very different from the plane of the face it is applied to. Try using the texturing tool to set the textures 'to face' or 'to world'.

(Note: I don't know if this applies to Source, I'm just working off what I know of GoldSrc here)

The problem is that it randomly does this, and to a lot of brushes. I already tried setting the texture "to face" or "to world" but it doesn't solve anything.

if you can't get the face to show properly by hitting world or face, then the brush is fucked or your hammer is fucked. Link to the map if u like, and I'll see if it happens using my hammer.

Learn to use Hammer properly. And delete this piece of crap and start over. Trust me.

I had some problems like that, but the crazy stretching would come and go with certain models being rendered in view. Never had a problem compiling though. I just thought of it as a technical hitch that couldn't be fixed and just had to be put up with.

Rimrook, I don't have problems with the compiling either when this happens.
The odd thing is that if I switch to "3D texture" from "3D shaded texture polygons", the textures render again normally :/.
