Hey everyone, I've been a long time lurker of TWHL and I thought I'd make an account to talk to you guys about this.

A bit more than a month ago I started a project now called Markov Chain. Its essentially a cyberpunk quasi-realism mod with an original setting and a few additional features like voice acting and some original music. Just yesterday I released the demo and plan to continue work on the mod again in just a few days. I'm currently awaiting feedback and just letting friends know I finally released some part of the project.

But I'm posting here because I was wondering if there was anyone in the community who still felt up to working on a mod release, or at least being a credited contributor. If there is, I can write up a detailed design document as well as provide insider knowledge on the story's plot, future levels, future code changes, music pieces, etc. Basically anything a team member would need to have direction and order going forward.

Who I'd ideally be looking for is, a dedicated programmer, a dedicated 3d artist, and another designer to help guide Markov Chain in a good direction. I fill these roles currently just by myself, but unfortunately I'm only particularly skilled in design. I have two years of experience with level and game design, but hardly any in programming or being an artist. Let me know if you all are interested, I'm reachable here, on STEAM, and on Moddb.

Thank you all for reading this and thank you all for being a stable source of Goldsrc information. Its been a huge help with this mod.

I love HL1 mods.

I looked at your moddb page. It sounds like you want to make a very challenging mod, which I think is cool, but from experience I have to admit that most players simply arent that hardcore. From what your moddb says, it sounds like you basically buffed the 3 most common weapons in HL: glock, mp5 and shotgun. Personally i think the glock is already the most OP weapon in the game, with shotgun coming in second. Mp5 does need a buff. But really I cant say much till i actually try you demo first, so I'll go do that now. Will have to be next weekend, though, so that maybe I can record it. I'll put a (unlisted) link here if I ever make a video. Good luck with your mod!

MP5 just needs a reduced accuracy cone and i think it's fine - or mimic CS, where if you let the recoil cool down, the first shot is dead center.
