I have a great Idea for a HL map! it could be a giant colleseum that you are in the standes, and you press buttons, and different doors open in the middle and you get to watch fights! That would be cool! and you get to control it, and there could be like secret buttons that you press taht raze gargs from the middle of the ground up an elevator so they can kill everything you let out!, and buttons that launch random scientists in the audience toward the fight! awwwsome!

Read: This tutorial and you might just begin to understand why this idea is not possible with the current HL engine.

I think you'll find it is. In Sven Co-op, there's a map called stadium3. That allows you to put most monsters (Including apaches and new Sven monsters/monsters nicked from opfor), but there's a limit to how many you can have at a time...and Sven's monstermakers have more options than HL ones. It also has an airstrike table, a flooding button, a light switch, and a massive airstrike that will destroy everything. The map doesn't have stands, it's just one massive box with a sky, an arena, and teleports which allow you into the arena.

Umm, doesn't this contradict itself? You can do it but it's crap?

Vass: That map is just boring :)

Yeah, stadium3 would have been much more fun with proper architecture.

I know it's boring, but I just thought I'd mention that something like that is quite possible.

it is quite possable and I can't figure out why it wouldn't be. IT doesn't have to be big, or look like a real stadium, I mean just one stand, a wall behinf it, a oval looking middle, thats about it.
