Simple question: What are your favorite mods and why do you like them.
I like many multiplayer mods such as: Counter-strike, Natural selection, Vampire slayer, The Wastes and The Specialists. They're great because they're completely change HL into something more compelling. There lots of other reasons too... ;)

they hunger & they hunger 2 r pretty good but hard. sweet half life had sum good ideas but sumtins up with the graphics card or summin and sum of the brushes disapear if i look them straight on.

My favourite mod is... Opposing Force... And just for one reason: The Desert Eagle Gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. It?s damn fun, pity that I will never be able to code weapons for Half Life, I even did a BIG gun model!!!!...

I love the M-249 SAW. Especially the recoil which shoves you backwards, and the extreme power that will rip through those annoying shock troopers and voltigores. And the Russian barney in redemption's called roy, not boris. Sorry kol! Unpack redemption's pak0.

I liked that fish gun or whatever it was that you fed with fruits. It could handle almost anything in one shot. But that was opfor. I think the discussion went a little of topic. Anyway... Back to the mods.

Peaces like us is differently from another add on?s is very good and strange.
Koumei Satou have be in the team for Sweet Half-Life together with Marc Ellis.

Yeah Vassy, Playing Poker dogs :P... Actually they?re playing pool :D. This one?s called "The Ripper" and it?s done by Arthur Sarnoff, who did lots of stuff like that... for me to include in my maps :).

i lvoe wizwars you now its very fun to see a wizard on a dragon and when oyu aim at hinm with a fire spell he burns lol!!
and offcourse the specialist i love the map ts_lobby and then superjump on man that rocks :D

I'm about to try the USS Darkstar anyday soon... Haven't tried any single-player mod before. Well, maybe opfor and Uplink but they come from valve and gearbox, which isn't the same thing as a mod from a private person.

USS Darkstar is good very very good - Niel Manke is just as good as Valve...

Day of Defeat is an old favorite of mine...
Counter-Strike and TFC are prefered Multiplayer.
SP stuff... OpFor, except I thought the friendly player AI sucked.

Damn right, I remember a bit with a derelict building and a corridor (narrow), with a changelevel in the middle - I had three friendlies wi' me, and I really needed them - too about fifteen level changes back and forth to get them on my back!

CS in multiplayer is my first choice because of its excellent gun physics. Natural Selection is also nice I like the player class options it has.

Funny you should mention projectile physics...
I was chatting to someone the other day about the "shoot through wall's" problem with both CS and DoD. The gun physics is pretty cool with CS, but sometimes misguided. A brick wall should protect you from pistol fire and erratic automatic rifle fire but it doesn't always. In CS it seems to depend on which way the wall is facing when it is compiled. I have read a lot about the "gapped wall" theory, but can't seem to duplicate it in test maps. I think the best idea isn't to bitch too loudly when you get waxed behind a wall, when the guy on the other side is using a large caliber high velocity weapon.

CS your mainly supposed to shoot through walls, this isnt a bug, its summit included into the game to make it more realisitic, If your in a wooden USA house (im from uk) then a bullet realisiticly can travel through a wall, The game was made in usa :nuts:

But fair warning ... I found the WIP1600 difficult to use and unpredictable. But having got it to work I am reluctant to switch to POD Bot, and it was on the server I test on.
I think the idea is to use something that has an active help forum. ;)

Oh yeah, Wanted is the biggest piece of s*** ever! The bots are a great idea, but they move really weirdly, 'cos their animation sucks, and they're a real distraction, especially since their health is so high.

I?ve got to add one more Mod to the list... This one is pretty cool, some sort of Blue Shift. Name?s Azure Sheep (sure you know it).
It?s quite big (about 100 mb, I think) but really deserves it.

Cons: Too much hallways, quite hard when playing in Hard mode.

Pros: Loads of action :D. Nice new models. Overall idea.

Trigger happy is a good map - its one amp that rendomly generates gruns in various locations - give it a try - its fun - and replayable
