I have recently been working on this utitled map which is loosely based on a place I dreamed about mapping. Head over here and see 'em.

as for the game, you should try copying it over to hl2 when you get it. although i have no idea how to get the textures over (i recently tried to change the same textures over myself.)

...yeah, I kind of rushed a bit with the lighting. Oh well, it was getting late and I wanted to finish at least that area.

ZL: Ok, I confess, I saw your map over at the Snark Pit and I saw that you used Blazeeer textures so I went over to his site and realised how cool those textures are.

Kind of reminds me of The Specialists, in a funny way.

Anyway, as mephs pointed out, this work can be converted over to HL? stylee at a later point. I'm basically making this map as a kind of draft based on this map I saw in a dream. I felt I needed to map it quickly before I forgot, and because I cant map for HL? yet, good ole Half-Life will have to do. Bah, oh welll.

Looking Good :)

Only i suggest adding more randomness to the theme - its missing something. But i'm not sure what :

Maybe it needs to be a little more crapmed and packed with "equipment"

More complexity!

Cramp up those corridors, Some tiny red lights; floorlights & stuff

(easy to say: yes, hard to do: yes, but that's mapping i guess)

Once more, get the fuck out with the crates. Kol hit it on the head, wires, consoles, air conditioning vents, more complex lights. Try and avoid all those blue lights and stck with a white/grey light interspersed with a few low intensity coloured lights.

You need to get a crap load of small pipes running along the ceilings and the larger pipes need to have more detail to them like this. Get all the little attatchments in there. wheels and even a few steam spots.. they always look good.

Try and keep up the angled architecture as making it square will ruin it imho.

I like the start, I think Zombies is definately cleaner but also less imaginative in places.

Keep updating.
