OK first of all i have been mapping for HL2DM for 3 days now and got a map on the go so im still in the learning stages. I have used several tuts off this site and they have been very helpful.
My problem is getting multiple cameras and screens. I have read the tut on cameras and the amount of qustions on this in the forum suprises me(so heres another one). Every time I put a 2nd camera in and give it a different name from the 1st and apply this to my func_monitor entity I get the image from the 1st camera on both monitors.
Any ideas anyone or am I missing somthing?
Also I cant seem to get the tutorial from the snarkpit, which i bet anwsers this. (sods law)

P.S joined today just to ask this qustion, its driving me crazy.

You can't have multiple cameras.
Simple as that. You can cycle between camera views, but you can't have multiple camera views at the same time.

I had that same doubt, however, I think during the game, in Dr Kleiners lab, there were multiple screens with different images
Maybe my memory is playing with me, I'll have to check it out again

If you open up the model in model viewer, you will see that all the other monitors are just textures. The central monitor switches between camera views, but does NOT display two different views simultaneously.
I dont remember reading anything saying that in the tuts though.
I got the info from the SnarkPit tut, "Advanced Camera Techniques".

or you can have them all on different screens that are smaller and are next to eachother. Or have one camera capturing the 4 screens with the different views making it look like one camera view.

Like:
XXXXX[]XXXXX - last screen (where everything is on)
XXXXX()XXXXX - camera (the camera pointing at the 4 screens)
XXXXXXXXXXX
XXX[][][][]XXX - the 4 screens (the screens with the 4 objects)
XXX()()()()XXX - the 4 cameras (the camereas capturing the 4 objects)
XXXWWWWXXXX - the 4 objects on the screens

uho, here it is:
XXXXX[]XXXXX - last screen
XXXXX()XXXXX - camera
XXXXXXXXXXX
XXX[][][][]XXX - the 4 screens
XXX()()()()XXX - the 4 cameras
XXXWWWWXXXX - the 4 objects on the screens

X = whatever

(this doesnt have to be in the positions. :) )
