Hammer crashes whenever I click World Model but only if I map for HL2.

HL2DM and CSS work fine but HL2 decides to crash Hammer and a message saying Hammer is having problems and you can send a report etc to Windows.

Anyway I thought it might have something to do with the gameinfo.txt so I searched for all the gameinfo.txt in my computer and copied the ones with HL2 in them but it still crashes :S

I am running out of ideas. I can still use HL2DM to open it and place models but it can get annoying having to swap every time I wish to add a model!

Please Help.

Sounds like something is wrong with the GCF file support thingy. Hammer reads directly off the GCF files mapping (materials, models, sounds, etc). Try the Refresh SDK Content option on the SDK window. If that doesn't work, reinstall either the SDK or HL2 or both. If that doesn't work, take Alex's advice.

I refreshed it to no aveil so I might as well uninstall SDK first and see thanks.

Yeah but still it is a nuisance. You would be like me if you had this problem and I bet I would say :

In other words it's a problem and I am going to fix soon hopefully.
