hi,
i made my skybox but look what happens when i run my map. It makes a copy of one view of my map and adds it to my skybox?!?!?!

Well, I'd guess either you've placed the sky_camera in a place where it can see the map from, or you haven't included one at all, and it's defaulted to 0, 0, 0.

Seventh is right, the sky_camera can probably see the map.

how do you make the sky_camera NOT see the map?

Point it in another direction or move the skybox with it? Note where the skyboxes are on, say, CS:S maps ? they're always low down and miles away from the map.

Hey,

like my problem!

I will copy my nice skybox textures in HL2 and I was mapped the skybox naming "skyname" with bk, dn, ft, lt, rt and up. Ok

Sorry the hammer complicer was been stupid..

You don't use those textures!
You use the texture that looks blue and has sky written on it...

if you followed the hammer tutorial notice it says "only the sky_camera in your 3dskybox should remain". make sure you didn't leave the sky_camera in your main map.
