I see you decided to take the easy route.. I would have done the same..lol..
Well, what I do is download mods.. one mod with a really nice model to replace the 357 is the 'FireArms Mod' I think.

Yeah I Just Wanna find some models that works
(Models in Other Modes Do Not Work Fine,ForExample When You Press Reload The Gun Reloads But You Don't See it Reloading)
And Then Modify The Textrues,,,Modifying Textrues is very easy....

Yea, exactly, some models have different sequences... Well, it all depends on which weapons other mods have..

I had that model for years and it was made wayyyy before HL2
I use it for the revolver gun and not the pistol!
It look almost as good as HL2 so I still kept it!
There is an assault rifle model replacement which looks extremely good!
