Has anyone come across this problem:

My MSVC++ always worked fine.. but now, it just crashes.. showing this windows error:

try reinstalling it. Sometimes that helps with crashing programs

It's a pretty generic error. You could try looking at the contents of the error report, that might show you something useful. Disable Error Reporting in Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Error Reporting and then see what it does.

I'll try reinstalling it.. Hope I still have the install file though.. :

yeah. thats a VERY general windows error window. it pops up after anything closes without u wanting it to.. and with my brick of a machine i see it every 10 mins

That error sucks, it should really say something more like:
This program has encountered an error, so we decided to crash it for you
If you didn't save you are fucked, because non of your crap was saved
Please tell Microsoft about this problem so we can give even less of a fuck
We have created an error report that you can send to us. We wont even look at it!
