Demonstration of a little cliff wall and how it was accomplished with the VM tool and 10 minutes, including compile. Just to show off, really, for the moment, until I add on more, and to show how simple it is to create these great looking cliffs in a few minutes.

I KNOW there is a skybox. Don't do this in your map, it's just so small its easier to skybox the level than to do teh thing correctly.

There is also a section where you can walk through the rock and fall through it and the ground. Ignore it, it will be fixed when this turns into a bigger map. (if ever)

Just practice. For this, I created a big brush and clipped it into little individual blocks of 8x8 units, then clipped those into triangles. Then, grouped each little row and sheared them at different angles, then messed with the vertexes in front view, and then messed with their posisition in the top view.

Pop open the RMF and you can see whats left of the triangles after VM.

Please include any non-halflife wads you used before posting a map. Or at least say in the description which wads we need.

...dont tell me, I compiled with OpFor, custom, and OpForCTF.wad? Was not intentional and shows laziness on my part. I know to include non-HL wads when distributing a map, or better yet, wadinclude I just forgot the custom wads in my wadlist altogether. If I can be bothered to fix this I'll change it.

Pepper has already created a Terrain tutorial, and ReNo (I think, it's been a while) has written a terrain tut, which I used to learn terrain.
