The water on the left is made from func_illusionary with Contents=Volumetric. The water on the left is func_water. Both have render mode=Texture and Fx Amt=255.

he is giving an example of how you can create water without using func_water, which is rendered no matter where you are in the map.

how do teh sounds work though?
