Terrorists fly a shuttle to board and bomb a space freighter. A 'c5000.wad' is included in the zip along with an updated 'decals.wad' (I hope that's OK).
The bomb sites are unmarked, but are in the 'main control' and 'power control' rooms.
Locked airlock doors can be shot out by aiming near their edges.
The map uses the 'nebular_' sky box (thanks to Justin fisher)

ur map is looking nice. but for cs.

i think cs is suposed to be like real life. look at all the real weapons the real stories the real places. i think if ur making a map for cs make somthing real.

Ghetto, me and my friends play CS, hence the CS-ness. I don't think CS necessarily has to be anything. Although the dude with the headband does look pretty cool jumping around in space! (There's reduced gravity in the map) Actually, I'm keen to sort out mod-ing, but time is not my friend.
Also I realised the planet will be missing from the sky box. That was something I added later. If anyone wants the down-facing sky-box panel PM me and I can mail it to you.

Oh, man - I got told how to make maps by an 8 year old? Surely that's a sign to stop playing computer games... Not sure what the planet was - I just grabbed it from google images. If it's Tatooine that'd be AWESOME! (now I seem 8 years old).

OK guys, can we drop it? I think this space is for comments on maps. Sorry, Ghetto - I shouldn't have made fun of you, but when someone said you were 8, I thought he meant that literally, not just pulling a figure out of the air. I hope you enjoy the map anyway.

- wery big map, if a server has like 2 min time limit the ts wont eaven get to bomb site.
- missing cs_cargo.wad

my rating is 3/5 good effort. but the map is just too big. try to make somthing cooler and smaller that ts can get to in 20-30 secs.

all u have to do is fake the wad.

for example copy and paste cs_dust wad from ur cstrike directory.

then rename the copy of the cs_dust to cs_cargo.wad and u can play
but u wont see the textures from cs_cargo tho.
but map will go.

3 stars?! Why I oughta.... (kidding). If you know where to go, you can get to the bomb sites very quickly. You know the shuttle can move, right? Press 'E' in the cockpit.
That's not the point though. It's a boarding action where the CTs have time to deploy to defend their ship. There's a holographic security scanner in the power room where they can see which rooms are occupied too.
It's intended as an all-out gun-fight, not a smash and grab.
And lengthen your server's round time - 2 minutes leaves no time to enjoy a decent fight!
As for making something smaller and 'cooler'.... I'll hold my tongue.

Very good.

The most original old-CS map I've seen in awhile. Some great ideas. I especially liked the shuttle and the switches to lock down different areas of the map.

Although this map is quite confusing at first, I'd imagine that once a group gets to know it well, that it would make for a great game indeed.

I didn't have the space skybox texture, so that looked a bit odd because the default Half Life one showed up instead. If the custom skybox was there, it would have been even more awesome. But as it was, I just pretended it was there, based on what your screenshot above shows

The brushwork is fine, not legendary, but pretty interesting in places. The texturing is pretty good too. The r_speeds are a bit high in places but that's not really much of a criticism these days.

I noticed that when you crouch in the shuttle when it is moving, the shuttle stops moving. I thought this could perhaps be both a good or a bad thing while playing for real -- I'm not sure.

It seems a bit odd in places that you can pass right through some of the iron girders around the sides, but I can understand how it would have been hard to make them solid effectively.

It's not perfect - but it's very good. So I give it - 4 stars.

It's the first one I've been happy enough with to submit. Pretty much all the stats are bumping up to maximum, so the cargo railings had to be compiled non-solid (it was max clip-noding). I've even added clipping almost everywhere (not just under/over tables!) to simplify the clip nodes. Was very frustrating. Get the sky box though - Mr Fisher's nebula looks cool! Thanks again!

Ok. I've finally downloaded.. I'll do a full review when my exams are done with. (today actually. hoorah!)

Oh, and I know I shouldnt bring it back up, but Ghetto, you're in the range of 8 to 11 years old. Your old avatar, that was deleted under the grounds of resembling child pr0n, proves that.

it would be good in servers were players are automatically respawned but for ordinary ones, it wont be so good.

warning: couldn't open cs_cargo.wad

Other people have pointed this out, why not fix it?! I just spent 10 minutes dicking around with this map and re-downloading it to see if you updated.

It's not hard to fix. look in the tutorial section. there's a tutorial that tells you how to include every texture in the map or how to include just the non-standard textures used.

A quick look in hammer at the texture wads used--under options i think--will tell you all the included wads with your map.

Last rant: maps like this should be moved to another section for maps that don't work... I mean it is the 'completed' section.

Please PM me if you fix! It looks cool from the screenshot.

The crinity link to your custom sky doesn't work either, lol, another reason you should include all the content you can in the download.

If you can't make the the 2mb size limit, there are tons of 3rd-party hosts...

I've added the wad to the download so the map is playable now. It was also missing the skybox and a sound file
