Utterly beautiful.

Maybe some more texture variation for different parts of the map, but it looks really great. I love the detailed bruswork though your wpolys rival 3500 in some places = )

I'd love to have a look at the source to offer some optimization tips, though it looks pretty clean.

Possible suggestions:
-sounds? (you might add some)
-add some rooms that look different like full of computer consoles or anything really.
-some doodads like a retractable bridge over that deadly liquid
-more height variation

the corridors are tight, but it's what you'd expect from a space theme.

I'm going 5 for the hard, precise work that went into this map. I don't care about playability or what have you, it's really neat ; )

Captain Terror, thank you for your comments...
I can't add more rooms or something else in this map - I've reached the limit..
And what about sounds, that's good idea, but there is one problem: i am very lazy. :)

Ok, This map is very good and clean, but there are a few things that could easily be done to make it more interesting and enjoyable. The first thing was obviously the textures. You had a good techno theme going and the textures played to it nicely but they were just to plain and dull. After playing the map, I remember it as being very grey with some light teel. You should use some darker colors in parts of the map to contrast the light textures. You did this some but really not enough. And you should use new colors in different rooms otherwise they all feel the same. Another huge flaw mentioned above was the lack of ambience. Don't be too lazy to unpak the sounds and throw some in there. When I go back and play halflife one, the sounds are what take me back and give a overall good feeling to the map. Another thing mentioned above by captain terror is vertical gameplay. The entire map's gameplay is on the same level. There are no bridges running over portions of the map or elivators or big stairs that take you to new levels of the map making it funner and more playable. I understand that the level was very complex and you may have not had enough memory to add on but you should consider this before you cram huge detail ibnto every single thing. Besides all of that the map was awesome. The robot like columns that hold up the walls and ceilings were really cool. The teel faded light coming from the ground and lights were neat. And those robotic ceiling light things were really high tech and neat looking. The water was kinda bad looking and it was very inviting to jump in but killed you instantly. The small staircases had a cool design and the layout was clean and well connected. The sky was an awesome view from the windows. Over all, this map is almost a 5 star but because of lack of a few very important things it closely dodges a perfect score and imo deserves somewhere around 4.5 so I wont rate it. You should take all of this criticism in and make another map because I know you are very capable of making a 5 star deserving one.

zeeba-G, thanks for your suggestion. I'll try to realise them in my next map. I had too many problems while compiling this map, I don't want to go through this again...
scrama thank you for your mark.
Only 3 people have something to say about this map. And thats all?

Texturing 10/10
Good use of textures and not a single error that I could find, except, the glows you created for lights cut off too sharply to look realistic. They should have faded all the way to black.

Weapon Placement 8/10
Very good but way too much ammo and too bunched together. Should have spead it just a bit and the powerful weapons were put together, ie, RPG next to the Egon allowing easy player domination.

Design 9/10
The simple figure 8 design will get boring after long-term play but you made it work and the map seams perfectly.

Ambience 4/10
I didn't like the way you lit the map, very simple and bland. No diversity of light colours and shadows. There were also no sounds! It really ticks me off when I run around a silent map.

Map Skill 10/10
Trims, gizmoes, sticking out bits, plenty of good solid mapping here.

Total 8/10 (4 stars)
It's a shame I have to give you 4 stars and not 5 (I add scores and divide by 5 = 8.2), you made a fantastic map but those letdowns were quite major. Maybe do it up a bit, see what happens.

P.S. Use WinRAR, it can read 7z files.

Architecture: 10/10 (I like that Unreal style)
Textures: 8/10 (Not perfect but acceptable)
Lights: 8/10 (Pretty good)
Sound: 0/10 (But hey it's deathmatch map)
Playability: I haven't played it against someone but it looks a bit small.

Overall: 5 stars (I'm not good in math like hlife_hotdog) :)

Architecture is just too important for me!

Great job! The architecture was awesome. The corridors were excellent.
Nice texture choices but some of them seems overused to me
However the thing I was expecting while opening the map was some animated textures, sprites, entities giving the best sci-fi effect... couldnt find any.
Also there werent any sounds.
I really cant say much about the gameplay but I really dont expect much good gameplay from small maps.
